Now that the main Season Ticket sales period has passed the Board have gone quiet.

The fans will be requested to contribute more financially through various wheezes now that Ahmad has failed to secure a shirt sponsor and the anticipated big income from selling players has not (yet ?) materialised. Loko's Supporters Trust/ BBS have paid for ("sponsored") a players kit for the season and congratulated themselves for doing it.

It seems the New Board have no intention of using any of their own funds to prime the pump--stimulating football progress by making an initial investment. We know they have bought a million pounds of equity which can be recovered when shares are sold but that was needed just to get the club through the weeks before other income such as ST sales came in. I do not anticipate the Hedge Fund managers in New York being keen to put funds into a third tier European soccer club with only a small prospect of getting a profit return out of it. Conway's pitch to them of easy money buying a second tier club cheap, using data driven player trading with the "expertise of a famous US name-Billy Beane-to generate money and also gather in increasing TV rights money all went t1ts up and they ditched him.

So it's down to the others--Lee is a no,no, the Crynes are not wealthy enough, PMG (Conway and Hung) are a no,no. So it is down to Neerav Parekh and the wealth of his family back in India.

No, I can't see it either.

    Nope.
But he clearly isn’t a striker that flourishes with his back to the goal and a steady bombardment of long balls lobbed up to him.
NONE of the current strikers are likely to come good this season until there are strikers at the club that are strong enough to win the ball and lay it off.
But I might have mentioned that before.

On the evidence of the Plymouth game - IMO the starting forward line for the next match should be ……
    Thomas - Marsh - Aichison

All of that is ok in principle nudge but there’s no creativity from midfield.

Its worrying as to how bad that sounded. But despite it, we out played them for the last 10 minutes or more and should have stolen a point. We should have had a pen as well, surely!.
It was the result I was expecting, but not the performance, as it sounds like too many of them were still in last season mode and just not interested.
I trust Duff and Paterson, but they have taken on a hard job here.

Did we have that many missed chances ?. Because our best spell only came late on and we could have nicked a point, but I think we were rather lucky to have been only 1 down by then.
As annoyed as I am with players like Cole, hes getting little or no service, and theres no quality and leadership from midfield.

And this idea that they have all gone quiet again now in the board room, that is also worrying.

Put it this way then Acido , Benson should have scored early on , Aichison would have scored /had a penalty , Anderson header second half was wide , a goalmouth scramble perhaps ?, i dont remember any other chances , and to be fair we could easily have been 3 or 4 down , what i didnt see was Sweat on most shirts ! I like Duff and think he will turn things around , i dont feel any sympathy for him though , he knew like previous HC's what the job entails ,
