The rumours going around at the moment are off the scale. Folk are searching for reasons and, quite often, making things up or believing things they read online that have been made up. It's just the way it goes.

I’ve heard harkes was basically picking the team which is why he gets a game every week.

In all seriousness though, who knows what exactly has gone on, but we have enough on field problems with the goalkeepers, lack of defensive screening, lack of goals to have to deal with off field issues too.

Who knows when rot kicked in, first time it really stood out was st mirren, in the games before that we were competing but just bad, undone v Livi and hearts in part by individual mistakes and goalkeeper errors.

St mirren I thought would be the reset, go back to close to the alkmaar home eleven, but he ditched sibbald and just went with a weird gung ho line up that made no sense.

Never thought he was the right fit at Utd and couldn’t understand the clamour, maybe in part cause I know quite a few hibs fans and they were never complimentary about his management, and they were watching their team every week. Thought it was a safe pair of hands appointment at the time However when we needed to get someone in quickly, I got that one wrong.

Only thing that will turn this round soon are some wins to start to rebuild some confidence, pretty hard when you are flagging goals left, right and centre and score once in a blue moon.

Some narrow defeats would be progress. ☹️

    TTT

It will be interesting to see how the players next couple games, how hard they work, now that JR has gone, work a lot harder or same old same old.

RE: Michael O'Neil - been on the Stoke forums and talking to some Stoke fans I know, and the general consensus seems to be that he is a decent and honest man. He went into Stoke and got rid of ageing and big earning players and worked well with the youth setup and gave a few young players chances (which a few of them took). They ended up concerned about his tactical know-how and ability to change games when things weren't going well. They are grateful to him for settling the club at a bad time but became concerned that that was as far as he would take the club.
Could this be the man for us? Reducing the age of the squad and moving (undeserved) big earners out sounds critical for our club. If he was able to do a good job in the English Championship surely a move to the Scottish Premiership would suit him and us. Big concern is - would he be able to work with TA?
FWIW I think he will hang on for another chance in the Championship, but you never know.

How much is it players not working hard or players just being demoralised and bereft of confidence in themselves and the manager?

We certainly shouldn’t be losing to these historically bad scorelines, but even if you work your ass off do you not lose all confidence if your keeper then undoes all the good work, or you are facing attack with nothing stopping them? Probably a combination, add to that you probably think during the game you are never going to score.

Michael o’neill Has experience of making a team hard to beat with Northern Ireland against better opponents, but do we currently have those players to play that way in midfield?

Previously we failed to adequately replace Shankland. This time as before, we haven't recruited properly for midfield.

All very well but how do you move players on when the Transfer Window is shut? We've seen the results of this when the Tim Two were sold late on in the window. That last part of the season was pish. Now we need to shuffle the pack are we going to see Mixu mk2 with free agents? FIFA/UEFA can shove their Transfer Windows up their phuckin hoops, how about giving the supporters a season of comings and goings up until transfer deadline day? As always the supporters are last in the pecking order when it comes to consideration.

Personally think cool heads are needed, I think with a better keeper and a DM, a decent coach would get us back to basics and picking up points

Time isn't in our side though, then it's who do you go with in goal, for me Birighitti should come back in this week
