As for Jessy, still not convinced, it was a result that came from players being played in positions they were comfortable with, that for sure is different from lost of previous games, but can we do the same against PL opposition? Sunday will tell.

Some of those cross field passes especially in the first half were exquisite. Some first class goals tonight.

Hmmm Gnonto did it with ONE touch off the outside of his right boot though!! - And Barndoor IS left footed!

Long time since we got these ratings -

    Wilfried Gnonto – 10

It’s a rare 10/10 for Gnonto. Yes, he missed a sitter that could’ve got him a hat-trick and yes, he got a booking for getting a bit too stuck in. But his goals were absolutely tremendous. His first goal, which came within seconds of kick-off, will go down as one of the greatest Leeds goals as he fired in a scissor-kick volley. That alone gets him a 10 out of 10 and our man of the match award.

    Jack Harrison – 9

That’s the best we’ve seen Harrison play in a very long time. He was absolutely instrumental in that front-three and set up goals for both Rodrigo and Gnonto. His defence-splitting pass for Rodrigo’s was a thing of beauty and we can only pray that Harrison continues this form in the Premier League.

Sadly though and I do like Ayling but tonight wasn't his best - but I'll forgive him

Luke Ayling (on for Wober, ’57) – 4

Ayling cost Leeds their clean sheet. How on earth is he still being played at centre-back? Robinson was allowed to score after some truly embarrassing defending by Ayling, who’d clearly switched off.

He, Rodrigo and Gnonto should start as long as they are fit, and we will tear the opposition a new ar5eh0le in the process. Yes, batter the f00k out of everyone, best defense is a good offense.
I'm sure everyone hopes Bamf stays fit and can produce his best...as it will definitely make a difference n our survival chances. But you still wouldn't be shocked if he started on Sunday and went back to missing sitters either! 😀 That's in his makeup sadly.

Weve still got time to bring in a defender or two.
Going forward with all our attacking players fit we should frighten all the defences of the bottom 10 teams, but defensively we are basically sh it! we need to sort it out at the back - every time the opposition ventures forward we look like panicing or just chasing the man with the ball all over the bloody pitch, We dont have a single defender who can make a clean tackle - they all just back off and try to block the inevitable shots coming in, they all panic on the ball in our area, or we try to dribble it out of our area when under pressure all so bloody needless!
Jesse must have a complete blind spot when it comes to defending - we now have Bamford, Rodrigo, Gelhardt, Sommerville, Gnonto, Harrison, Arronsen, Sinisterra, and now Rutter up front, not to mention the under 21's, We only have Adams, Roca, Forshaw and Greenwood in midfield - maybe include Gyabi, but its the defence that is ridiculously light
Cooper, Ayling, Llorrente, Koch, Kirstensen, Firpo - Now Wober and Drameh - basically not even ONE cdecent back four from that lot.

we need recruits for the defence!!

He (Bamford), did it twice, having not had more than a few minutes game time since last year, and with EASE, placing the ball where he wanted, when he wanted to place it, Am I the only person who posts here (belatedly!) who appreciates that the man who got us into the PL might (again) be the one that keeps us there? ALAW? FFS!
