We've had him once this season, home to Chesterfield (2-2)
Coincidentally he reffed our game at Bromley last season, lost 0-1.

Sounds like he could have sent Brooks off just now but didn't.

I agree but how do you explain the lack of urgency from Notts or is it just the plastic pitch?

Probably confidence as much as anything, after last week's setback. An equaliser would hopefully change the dynamic and get heads back up.

Got to be honest, and say I wasn’t even sure it was a free kick, neither live nor on the replay.

If it was it should have been a penalty and sending off.

I just don’t think it was, he kicked the ball and the player tripped over his leg after the ball was going out.

Smart play from the attacker to get some thing rather than a given, for me anyway.
