    📝New deal for Chicks

Adam Chicksen gets a new deal, hopefully he's the first of many!

    Chicksen New 2 Year Contract

I love AC for his work rate and personality, knowing he will always give his all for the team, but would like to think if we do get promoted he will not be first choice LWB. Pleased for him that he has earned two years of stability at this time in his career.

I think he'd do just fine in L2, especially given that we'd have to do more defending than we're used to. He's played at that level and higher before.

Great news, he’s been a real asset these last 2 seasons and seems to improve each year, after a very dodgy start with us which he explained was due to other issues in his life.

Also had to laugh at the BBC National League news (or should that be re-named Hollywood news), their quality reporting on the league had Chicksen scoring 10 goals since he joined us. FFS he’s more than that this season, which they could have verified using their own scoring stats.

Great news! He's been a star at LWB this season, and by all accounts he's a true pro on and off the field. A great role model for younger players in how to conduct themselves.

If I'm right I think it leaves the following players out of contract end of this season:

    Slocombe
    Rawlo
    Cameron
    JOB
    Palmer
    Francis
    Vincent
    Ruben
    Nemane
    Mitchell
    Munakandafa

Also Jodi Jones and Archie Mair loans end.

How many more of those above would we want to keep regardless. You can't say Ruben, he's a given and I think there's a good chance we'll see the last of him even with promotion.

Palmer signed a new contract recently.

I'd definitely want to keep Namene. Cameron too. Possibly Rawlo and Slocombe if we don't get promoted.

Of course he did, sorry, I'm currently sinking under a mountain of validation documents!

I love Rawlo, he's improved somewhat but he is too slow to play any higher and not ideally suited to a passing game. Cameron must go imo. He is cumbersome as a defender, would challenge Tom Daley and Mullins for a position in the GB high board diving squad and makes far too many unforced errors. Nemane we should hold onto but I would hope both he and Chicksen improve their decision making and quality of crosses. There is a noticeable lack of ability to pick players out given the number of opportunities they get. You only need compare the accuracy of delivery from Austin and Jones which is far better.

I don’t feel quite as strongly about Cameron, but it’ll be interesting to see where he goes if he doesn’t stay. The rest agree 100%, especially about Chicksen. 3 assists from wing back in this team is poor.
