I agree, they were worse, but that is my point - the fact that we contrived to lose that game and add to our already awful losing streak, showed to me that we were doomed to relegation.

There have been too many incidents of that sort. The sort of incidents that only happen to you when you're at the bottom of the league and going down:

Not scoring the penalty against Kilmarnock at 0-0
Giving St Johnstone a goal when we'd just equalised
Missing the absolute sitter when 1-0 down v Livingston
The penalty awarded to St Mirren when were 1-0 up

All of those in the space of just a few weeks. That sh*t doesn't happen to clubs who are doing ok, mid-table and fairly safe.

The one positive, as I mentioned in an earlier post, is that we are still in the fight - still clinging on. I thought we'd be confirmed as relegated before the split.

It's not over....................but it is now.

Yep, it's the one we've been dreading - Fletcher pulled up in training today and awaiting a scan. But likely out for season.😔

might force us to play it near and tidy on the ground and maybe open teams up more, with Mcleod and Middleton through the middle

Cant be worse than long hopeful punts to Fletcher with no end result, can it?
The only surprise is it never happened sooner.

Exactly, will it really be any worse, it wasn't exactly looking good for us anyway and we do rely overly on punts upto Fletcher and tbh a lot of the time he loses possession, there on sat he won a header, managed to get to the ball himself the fluffed a simple pass to a team mate out of touch, he isn't prolific either with chances, might end up being a positive or Livi might just beat us comfortably, is what it is at this stage
