There’s a very telling message from JJ to JB on Twitter basically saying he’s the best guys he’s ever met, not just in football and how he’s gave him so much belief to kick on this year. It’s funny how people judge books by the covers, there were quite a few on here alluding to him possibly being a bad egg with the amount of clubs he had when really they had absolutely no clue.

I get the impression from the message that he put out it was JOB’s decision to leave. If he has got an opportunity to develop his coaching at a higher level can’t fault him.

As I say, Jim O’Brien gets respect for commitment. The rest can depart with thanks. The legend and icon tag gets thrown around way too easily for me nowadays.
I’ve just called AB a legend in the other thread haha. Deserves it imo for Borehamwood, my lad still calls it the best day of his life.

    I’m happy with the list.
All the players go having contributed to one of the best seasons I’ve ever witnessed as a Notts fan. I’ll follow Baldwins career with interest as I’m adamant there’s a very good defender there.
Pleasantly surprised we’ve extended Scott’s contract and very surprised with Baj.
Hopefully they prove to be sound footballing decisions and not just moral obligations.

We had a few words with JOB before the FGR game and I asked if he would be at Notts next season?
Jim replied that " he didn't know, but a hat trick today might help !"
Reading into that might suggest he wanted to stay and the decision was made elsewhere?

I think he already knew and was playing the game. Him waving to the entire ground against Colchester and his Instagram posts were telling

I would guess a large amount on Twitter are younger fans so to them they will connect to these players as they may have been the only ones they have seen do something good.

They also gave them a trip to Wembley and winning helps that is a great buzz/feeling if you havent seen your team do anything of note.

I have no problem really they did the job and best we can do is wish them all well for the future.

    Only 5 subs? We're back in the EFL now, it's 7 🤣

But he’s got 12 on the pitch so that’s one of them taken care of.

Always a sad time at this time of year. Jimbo has been a good servant, always gave his all, but legend is branded about too much.

I'd also have liked to see Baldwin retained and Cameron told to find a new club! Yes he makes the odd blooper but overall a good player at this level, whereas I feel Cameron isn't.

Bostock should also have been given a 1 year deal, played out of position this year with Palmers injury. Would have been a good squad player and he's a tremendous person and inspiration for everyone else.
