So you didn’t rate the head coach or the medical team in the season we got promoted back to the football league with a record breaking 107 points and 117 goals. Tough crowd.

Let’s not forget we are talking about Notts’ 3rd choice number 8. That’s whether you are talking about currently or past achievements.

We currently play one centre forward so with 3 maybe 4 who can play that role can we all agree we don’t need another?

Dunno about Brindley cant remember that.

Im sure Scott got seen by medical staff though as no chance any manager would just tell a player to "run it off" that just doesnt happen now.

Scott seems to be the type you have to drag off the pitch he would have said he is ok to carry on as well.

Im not blaming medical team as sometimes it can be hard to tell if it was an ACL which it wasnt they'd know straight away.

Exactly I’m 99.9% sure he didn’t keep him on if he knew it was serious and there’s also no proof it worsened as a result of keeping him on.

The proof being he was out for pretty much the whole season... He was in agony when he came off...

How’s that proof it worsened? He limped about for another 5 mins and sat down. I can’t remember him riding around in pain. I don’t know if it worsened or not and I’m guessing you don’t either.

I don’t remember Scott’s injury, but there’s a lot of odd conjecture going on here.

Making all your subs with 18 minutes left isn’t dropping a *******. If there’s a need for it, there’s a need for it. Being revisionist about it due to an injury sustained seems odd.

We’ll never know what went on with the medical staff, LW and Scott but to purely blame LW is also seemingly odd.

Injuries happen and there’s lots of shoulda, woulda, coulda, but that’s the way the game goes.

He certainly doesn’t for our former boss Williams.

Staying on the park too long last year almost certainly made Scott's injury worse, but I think this was a different type of injury so I'm not sure it will have any major detrimental effect.

The more legitimate criticism of the number of substitutions is that it definitely disrupted our flow in the last 15 minutes and Accrington came into the game far more than they should have been allowed to. A better team could have got a goal back and then it would have been really tense, but fortunately Accy didn't have the ability to take advantage.

Maynard needs to learn from it though - a couple of subs to freshen things up and get a few minutes in legs is fine, but don't take the piss.

The game on Saturday was very reminiscent of the Tranny game a year ago in that we outclassed a poor side got 2-0 up, then made multiple substitutions which killed the game from our point of view. Tranny got a goal back, Accy didn’t but Cedwyn got injured in both.

All a bit needless imo, the game isn’t won at 2-0 and we shouldn’t assume it is. The difference this season I suppose is that we appear to have stronger subs to bring on and our defence don’t sh!t the bed when the ball gets in our half.
