Back to Glenn Middleton...in the transfer rumours thread in the summer I was questioning whether he had the appetite to fight Trapanovski for game time, I thought he might ask to leave.
Full credit to Glenn, meaner and leaner, found that extra yard again.
    Brilliant character and desire.
See also when Kristian crosses and Luca slots in the equaliser Glenn was first off the bench celebrating.

I've been saying all season Middleton can be a useful squad player for us, he can be effective off the bench not just out wide left, but through the middle, and wide right cutting in too, I think he has been underused by Goodwin, more so off the bench, I don't see him becoming a nailed on starter, he is a bit one dimensional, he lacks a trick, basically he goes outside the fullback, which is when he can be pretty ineffective if the fullback reads it as he can't really change it, but if it is working it can be really effective, as we saw at times last season, and on Saturday, if you have a great delivery you don't necessarily need to beat your full back, think Beckam. But he can be involved in around the first team as a squad player, making starts and coming off the bench, and can still develop/improve.

New contract please for JG is what I am hoping for now soon, I am sick of changing managers and I genuinely would not swap him now for McInnes,Robinson or Tony Doc the Messiah etc
On Goodwin, he's been learning with us. Last season he was getting a bit of criticism for late subs that were like for like and not really changing the dynamic of the game. But he was looking most weeks at a very limited bench.

This season he's been making changes earlier when needed to change the game and it's been working really well because he's got quality on the bench now.

Loving his Theory of Chaos which he's used v Killie and Hibs late on when he throws attackers from all directions at tiring defences. There was a match at the Euros when Turkey did that, went 424 to chase the game and it worked, maybe JG saw it 🥳

The game has changed quite dramatically the last few years with the addition of 5 subs, and increased injury time, it's gone a bit under the radar in pundit world, and will become more and more common late finishes like we have already seen in the County, Killie and Hibs matches. Having effectively half a team of attacking players to put on for last 10-15 mins which can then end up 20+ minutes once you include the injury time, and tiring defences/mistakes.
