Thread: Blackburn Rovers - v - Leeds United *** Matchday Thread***

Still up to my ears in unpacking stuff so didn't see any of the game at all. But from comments on here and Facebook sounds like we could have played for a week and not scored.

One thing I did see posted on Facebook was "That Tackle"
Going in with both feet off the ground, studs showing, nowhere near the ball and totally out of control. Lucky no bones were broken and Ref looking right at it. And the powers that be wonder why we chant "The Football League's Corrupt"

We see this type of thing happen week in week out and all we get are apology letters but nothing ever changes. If we got 3 points for every apology letter we get in a season we would not only be in the Premier League we would probably be in the top 6.

It was once said that for Man U players to get carded they would have to mow down the opposition players with a machine gun. My guess if any of our players were mown down then the Ref would card them (our player) and they would get banned for at least 3 games.

Since the Refs went professional the standard has been getting worse each year. Sometimes it seems that not only do they not know the rules if they did they would ignore them anyway.

Sorry for the rant but this type of thing has me spitting feathers not to mention the language I end up using (more swear words than a trooper)

Piroe scored over 20 a season for Swansea. We bought him to continue this. I’m sure he has better players around him now.
Joseph 5 goals in 5 games for spain u21. I know u21, but
my point is that they know how to score, unless perhaps they aren’t being played/positioned to their strengths.
They just don’t become shyte soon as they pull on a Leeds top.

Fks sake even Bamford got an England chance. Where’d that all go wrong?

They all seem to be in the "right position" when the opportunities fall to them. 🤔 And those opportunities are abundant from stats so far. Have you seen all those misses? Maybe the Piroe and Joseph situations you state were because they were the only avenue on goal for those teams? And the ratio of chances less. We have half a dozen players missing goals regularly! Even though you would think they should already be competent by reaching this level of the game, I suppose it's now Farke's responsibility to have to "retrain" them all in that aspect....

Yeah yeah I hope it’s better than the retraining he does for corners and set pieces

Gnonto missed a sitter on Saturday as well, blasted it instead of placing it, maybe they panic, also I couldn’t see who was offside for the goal, my bet would be bamford if anyone, it usually is.

It was, but he was at least trying to influence what was going on.
