The difference now is that we're getting the results our performances deserve and that's on the manager and his coaching team to fix.

I'm just sick and tired of us sacking managers and basically ripping things up to start again. I've got no appetite for yet another change in philosophy. I'm completely on board with what Hamshaw wants to do which is why it's so disappointing to see things going as they are.

I think the club have made mistakes left right and centre regarding recruitment and I include Woody, Tonge and Burbeary in that. But on the other hand, its hard to be totally critical given that we don't know how much Hamshaw has been backed.

We need a big reshuffle in January but most of all, we need TS to come out and provide some clarity regarding his vision for the club.

Said at start of the season didn't want Wood back as coach here too much one of the boys. Doubt if he's the coaching type.

I agree that a lot of us would like TS to say something but people must have realised by now that he ALWAYS disappears when the going gets tough. That's hardly the hallmark of a strong leader, just the opposite really.
As for "his vision for the club"....don't hold your breath. When has one ever been made public apart from the "Premier League in 5 years" nonsense"?
Unfortunately relegation to the basement league is becoming an increasingly uncomfortable possibility which, if it happens, will mean TS has taken us full circle but left us with a nicer rented property.
The early gratitude that supporters felt when he rescued the club is dissipating rapidly which is a real shame but sentiment can't get in the way of reality and the general opinion seems to be that he needs to sell to someone who can make wholesale changes and move the club forward.
If only life was that easy!
It's more likely that TS will either continue to run the club at arm's length or hand the reins to his son who doesn't seem particularly interested so we could be in the doldrums, or worse, for a while.
    Happy New Year!

So much space on here is devoted to Mr Stewart moving on and selling up.
    Ok.
But who will want to buy Rotherham United when there are far easier pickings?
Eg we had 8-9000 fans turning up to watch us in the Championship.
Clubs with a more illustrious history and bigger catchment area will always trump us
Wrexham is the exception to the rule I have just set out. But I suspect that it will end in tears and all the Jonny come lately will crawl back under their stones.
    Thoughts?

We will just about scrape staying in the division, if?..

There are actually changes in january in players. We know who the main ones are. It hangs in the balance if enough are made, and improve the side.

Personally, I think there are just too many square pegs in round holes, for individual reasons, they are all different.
Too many and too close to call.

Someone said the 9 games run was due to midfield. That was quite right. Not been same before or since.

Doesn’t that show that he should have sold when we were in the championship when he had the chance? Not good business to hang on to an asset as it is losing value in the hope the value increases. Letting the only assets a club have walk out free of charge is another great football business decision. Clearly he runs his core business very well, but makes a lot of mistakes in football. He needs to be the leader now, step in do what is needed keep us in L1 and depart in a way where he is remembered for the good times we had under Warne and him not the seasons of agony under those that followed, not as the man that took back to L2 in another (but better) ground that we rent and a training facility that non-league clubs would pull a face at. It is true that TS has invested in the training ground that we do not own, we moved there under TS it was his regime that decided to stay there and not build the facility he set out to buid. He has done good things for the club but it is time to step up or find an exit. Sadly that is where we are.

An engaged TS is a useful asset to the club, and in that scenario, no right-minded Miller would want him to sell up. But, he’s not engaged. He clearly has no interest in the club any longer and to be honest, the three or four times I’ve seen him at the ground this season he looks like he’s enjoying the wine more than the football. Totally his choice of course.

Selling the club is now a necessity, if we intend to have a longer term future.

I feel for MH in this situation but a rookie coach cannot deal with this situation. He will take us down. Cayton has provided an analysis of the signings - he paints a very positive picture when in fact pretty much all of MHs signings have been shambolic. Only Hall, for me, was worth the investment. The rest are either injured or incompetent.

TS - just make a decision. Sell up or switch back on. If it’s the latter, you need to sack MH and reinvigorate yourself and bring a manager in you can work with. Not a rookie, not a young manager but someone who can push you. Like Evans did the first time around. That man for me, is the current Bromley manager. He’s experienced and knows his football. He will want some investment and guarantees but he won’t expect big money.

Hall only fit actual signing who cuts it when he can be bothered! Martha Kaleta don't. Gore Baptist out of the loanies do. T Holmes could. That's what we've got till January window. Can't see with Hamshaw Scott recruitment getting much better then.
