Even if that was the case…it was a lot more work than our current incumbents have put in to get us a manager. I do my research for free. I am a true Don though….not just at Aberdeen to make a shilling.

Huns and Tims pay (according to various sites - based on season 2021-2022) £1.2m and £2m respectively. We were paying Glass less than half a mil. Hutter's last job was paying him EUR4m.

Much as I would love to attract top names on big money, nobody in their right mind would go from
    a) EUR4m to GBP500,000 (or even what the Tims can pay)
    b) Go from Bundesliga to SPL
    c) Choose to move to the North East of Scotland for the two reasons above.

So drop the pish and follow your own reckoning that everything else is moot
It’s good that you know exactly how much these managers are earning. How much is Barry Robson on?

This is the type of due diligence sadly missing from AFC's (and RJs) past managerial appointments. Wee bit research goes a long way, Well done.

I have no idea what Robson is on. As I mentioned, I looked at various sites (you know of Google yeah?) and found consensus for 21-22 season. It's not hard and these figures are largely public.

Robson is the cheapest option available and that is why the incumbents have chosen him….let that sink in.

Delighted. It’s rare you get value for money in the modern game. Usually you pay over the odds for absolute turkeys

I suppose it can well be construed that way. I am not holding out much hope though as with Cormack/Milne’s previous attempts having been pitiful. Good luck Robson though, prove me wrong and the incumbents correct.

I suppose we are in the opposite situation to what we were this time last season.

Last year our players had been told they were crap and were getting the bung at the end of the campaign.
I still don't understand how that was expected to inspire them.

This season, all seem to be working together to ensure Barry Robson keeps the job.

I know which situation I prefer.

Rumour has it that Aberdeen fc have made an approach for Stroopi Von Strooperhoffen of Fc Stroopenheim. Personally I think this could be a good appointment but I’ve heard he can be a bit cocksure of himself.

I see one of our number noticed the word ‘incumbent’ in the answers to yesterday’s Daily Star crossword, and is using it at every opportunity.
