I feel like we're arguing like this:

Me: Andy dude this car has no engine so we shouldn't use it for our road trip
Andy: Jampie the wheel arches are EXACTLY THE RIGHT HEIGHT

I?ve actually been consistently on topic all along: If Trump were a Russian asset he would not have supplied heavy weapons to Ukraine. And no, he didn?t withhold heavy weapons from Ukraine in an attempted exchange for a Hunter Biden investigation - that was a different package that he withheld that didn?t include heavy weapons.

It?s really quite simple., and as I said, try to keep up.

Is he saying this to appease certain sectors but with a nod and wink to his mate Putin?

BBC:Trump says he's considering fresh sanctions and tariffs on Russia published at 14:30
    14:30

Donald Trump says he's considering new sanctions and tariffs on Russia, following a wave of overnight strikes on Ukraine.

He writes: "Based on the fact that Russia is absolutely 'pounding' Ukraine on the battlefield right now, I am strongly considering large scale Banking Sanctions, Sanctions, and Tariffs on Russia until a Cease Fire and FINAL SETTLEMENT AGREEMENT ON PEACE IS REACHED.

"To Russia and Ukraine, get to the table right now, before it is too late. Thank you!!!"

Trump cannot get a peace deal between Russia and Ukraine unless Ukraine completely surrenders and no longer exists as a sovereign state. That is what Putin wants till the day he dies. We all know what kind of creature Putin is and he will never change. Rightly Ukraine wants a fair peace with cast iron safe guards that Putin will not attack again. Trump may get a deal with Putin provided Putin gets everything he wants. Ukraine may decide they prefer freedom instead of being under the Russian rule. That's why Trump says Ukraine is difficult to deal with and he cannot get a fair deal for Ukraine. Trump is a blackmailing bully who hates to lose and hates anybody who stands up to him like the president of Ukraine. The brave Ukrainian have stood up to Russia for over 3 years I believe they will go down fighting for their freedom.

And saying that in a public statement means Delon Trusk (like the new name?) has given an ok to Putin to keep up the destruction of Ukraine whilst accusing Zelensky of refusing to surrender and thus laying the blame at his door.

    Unbelievable Jeff!

If they do it's a very small effect compared to the impact of the huge (comparatively) production runs.
I didn't know that. I knew they were good, but I thought the project turned into a huge money pit coming in way over budget.

Absolutely it did. But that's development costs. Their actual production costs are ok now that the volume's starting to kick in. Not so much cost per flight hour, but you can't expect that to be the same as a 1970's technology airframe and still have the radar cross section of a gnat. They're much cheaper to operate than an F-22 and far more capable everywhere but a dogfight.

There's plenty wrong with the project overall and how it was managed, but the end result is a crushing advantage.
