As everybody said, a hard one - squeezed in with a very nervy 6.

    Respect, Raging.

Thanks all but had bit of luck in that the same word was used very recently in quordle or octordle so combined with getting a key letter on row 2, the word came to mind.

    Nice 3 Raging.

An early morning 6 for me.

I’d suggest it’s time to stop posting the breakdown guys. Minimum 4 if I’d checked here firsthand.

Sorry. Just the nature of the beast.

How would you work it out from the working out of others, without knowing their starter words etc? I think you can tell if it's a harder word than others but think I've still only used my same 2 start words. Happy to do away with breakdowns. In fact, that would be good for me as I usually do the puzzle walking from car to work early morning, but then have to look out up again to enter it on here later at work. So I'm good with it.

A sea of red today for all true Millers with just raging breaking the allegiance and deciding to roll home a birdie and keep it green.

(PS Howdy, show some restraint and avoid the WORDLE thread like the plague like I do until I've solved the puzzle )

(PPS I like seeing the breakdowns)

You asked so I’ll answer. I use the same start word everyday.

Today I had 0 words on guess 1 and 2.

    Edinburgh did the same.

If I’d seen his breakdown before guessing I would have used a different start word.

As I said. Sorry. Nature of the beast. It’s how my mind works.

Not even saying people look. Just an observation.

Tend to agree that mentioning it was harder than usual, had unusual letters etc makes you think slightly differently about the word - so comments like these should be discouraged. (We shouldn’t have censure ourselves in terms of being able to look at other scores before doing the puzzle.)

I’m also happy to drop putting in the score evolution. It doesn’t really serve a useful purpose and may give clues as Howdy suggests.

Ah, fair enough. Does anyone have the time or inclination to go into it that much? But get your point.

    Ronners

All I was trying to explain is if players come in to check the spreadsheet before playing, which I do, even though I usually play early, this can actually spoil the game for others.

It’s effectively providing hints. As I said, it’s how my mind works.

If people think I take life more seriously than I do, that’s up to them.

    Apologies.

    Have a nice weekend.

    UTM and C’mon England.
