I wonder how accurate it is? It would mean that the average wage for the 25 player Plymouth squad would be under 2k/week and ours around 4k/week. Leicester's average is around 50k/week

CAM, the word ‘average’ is okay to use as an example of but, two Plymouth players were on 16k a week last season and that pisses all over what TS pays Hugill.

The Plymouth chairman must have some serious coin.

I was reading this week about Sheffield Wednesday weekly wages. Said one player Bannon on £22k, another six players on £15k a week, which Vaulks, Smith, Icky ex-Millers came into the £15k a week bracket.

Does it though Brin? Heard some time ago that Hugill was on allegedly £16k but also that that was strangely way above anyone else. Seems hard to believe but we were paying Blackstock silly money several years ago.

Was told Smith had a 50% pay rise for promotion in his contract which I guess will now probably put him on about £18k. Don’t think Icky had the same arrangement.

Where does this "wage information" come from?
I've never seen anything published by clubs other than in their accounts for the previous year which has limited relevance for the upcoming season.
I think we should take these figures with a whole sackful of salt 🤔.
