Before TTR went and spoiled it with his usual hobnail boots effort, I was going to ask a genuine question, please still take it as such - do you GENUINELY mean fear? What ACTUAL difference is Trump likely to make that instills fear into you? And whats the difference between personal and political fear? To me you can have personal fear caused by political actions or intentions, but political fear? I don't get that and maybe its a because I wake up in the morning worried about if the dogs done a woopsy on the kitchen floor rather than who's in power. Genuine question, if I understood what made people not like me tick I might not be so 'aggressive' or dismissive as youve asserted

Sorry AF. Hadn’t seen your question. Perhaps genuine ‘concern’ would be a better expression than ‘fear’.

To me, ‘political fear’ equals a political outcome that I fear will be damaging to the country/world as a whole…whereas a ‘personal fear’ - in this context - is when a political outcome is likely to have a personal impact on people I care about living in a place, in this case, impacted by the election of someone as divisive and morally bankrupt as Trump.

Like you, I think, I’ve visited the USA many times and have found much to admire about the place.
I find it difficult however to relate to it as a single country because of the enormous differences, in terms of outlook, cost and standard of living between different states.
For that reason, along with its comparatively recent history, the divisiveness which has become all too apparent with the emergence of Trump as a politician - rather than an eccentric businessman - and the influence of China and Russia I think the U.S. is more of a ‘tinderbox’ than we sometimes appreciate over here.

    P.S. Plus…I don’t have a dog.

I wish the Democrats would wake up and replace Biden. He's had 4 years but is clearly struggling with his health, 4 years on he will likely be much worse.

I don't think he's actually as bad as some say, he's just 81 and elderly people can struggle, he'll be fine in every day life but the pressure of being president will magnify the problems he may have.

I think it's horrific what's happened today, especially as innocents were I killed and injured. I don't like Trump but it's awful what's happened but I do think he's going to benefit from it ultimately.

But but but , its the right who are a danger.
Of course, the left don't try to shut anyone down do they? They've tried every way imaginable to shut Trump down. They failed and its come to this. LHO, thought life in lefty land was paradise, and we all know how that turned out.

Why does Trump fill you with so much dread and fear(do you need a hug?)

He may not be everyones cup of tea personality wise, but when he was in charge, there were no wars/ strikes on foreign lands. The ethnic communities had never had it so good, with their standards of living.
The economy was going great guns and they even outrode COVID better than most
He put in place immigration controls that had the left screaming blue murder. Ironically, they have now been reinstated by the Biden regime, due to the USA, being flooded and unable to cope, with the left actions being so soft?

I do agree, that their obsession with getting rid of him, has just handed it him on a plate. Biden is a doddering corpse with all the social cohesion of a labotomised badger. Its actually rather sad how they abuse an old man like this.

Grow up Tricky. For every Reagan and Trump there’s a Kennedy and a Martin Luther King and for every Jo Cox there’s a David Amess. No one has said otherwise.
Why does Trump fill me with such fear? He doesn’t, apart from being the personification of greed, dishonesty, divisiveness and political irresponsibility, but as it happens I was in the U.S. during his campaign against Hilary Clinton and the atmosphere was ‘difficult’ at times.
Things haven’t improved in that respect and you’d be well advised not to confuse the political and the personal.

Meanwhile our very own "mini Trump" blames Jo Brand for the shooting, one couldn't make it up.

I see Thicky has gone full gammon maga and now apparently "knows" who was behind the shooting and repeats the propaganda spewed out by right wing ding bats. I truly fear for the guys sanity, that level of delusion is certainly a sign of severe mental illness.

Thought I was ignored? You lying again you little tinker?

PS, i can prove my mental illness competency? Can you?

    Another brain washed college kid.

State voter records show that Crooks was a registered Republican and the upcoming election would have been the first time he was old enough to vote.

When Crooks was 17 he made a $US15 donation to ActBlue, a political action committee that raises money for left-leaning and Democratic politicians, according to a 2021 Federal Election Commission filing.

The donation was earmarked for the Progressive Turnout Project, a national group that rallies Democrats to vote. The groups did not immediately respond to a Reuters request for comment.

If he doesn't then why say it an why say you fear for your family?

I'll tell you the reason I ask.
My sister and her husband , just returned from there. Her husband was invited by his ex CO, to visit and stay with them. Now he is married to a Yank who is a hardcore Democrat. That is exactly how she spoke. In fact she wailed like the world was coming to an end if trump got in and asked if My sister and husband would sponsor them, to live in the UK?
I genuinely am perplexed as to how warped some folks perception is of Trump.

Here's the conundrum in all this. My bro in law asked her what she thought of the millions of illegals who had flooded into the states?
SHE GENUINELY SAID, THAT SHE DIDN'T MIND.

Their son, came from the city to take my sis and husband out and they told him. He went crackers and rolled his eyes. Typical of her, living in 20 odd acres with only a few farmers for neighbours. He lives in the City and he carries (under license), as it is that dangerous now, with migrant crime.
Now I certainly couldn't live under those conditions either. But to claim Trump would make it worse makes it laughable.
The US is awash with guns. Its in their constitution, so to think its going away is a fantasy.

So again. Can anyone tell me how living under Trump, as an average American be worse than under Biden?
