In play
I know this is with hindsight, but I thought exactly the same at the time - we definitely batted too long. Not only too long, but too slow. With the weather forecast in mind we should have slogged our way to 300 to get the second batting point and then declared. Instead we batted as if we were going to get 100 overs on the fourth day. We sit marginally top, but this was an opportunity missed.
Excellent first day in the top of the table game against Suss ex, just 5 runs behind with 7 wickets intact. The weather forecast suggests full play, so we need to build a big first innings lead with maximum batting points tomorrow.
A bit of defiance from the tail means we sneak two batting points and a first innings lead of 131.

17:04 BST You never know with cricket, this pair could be batting for a long time.
17:06 BST WICKET Carter c Duckett b O'Neill 12 (Notts 300 v Sus*** 169 & 125-5)
Excellent 9 wicket victory, let's hope it's the only win for a Nottingham team today.
