100% agree, anyone can love their job and do their best every single day and by result they are often the people that are given the opportunity to progress. He’s probably tripled his salary, closer to home and closer to his dream to managing in the Prem.

LW is no different to IB or Big Sam...
Why is it bullsh*t you can clearly tell by how he is that he liked our club, I tell you what I never heard him once say he would stay for life either !!!!

The bloke looked genuinely drained at the end of last season, I was actually worried about his general health at one point.

He said it’s a good club to work for and if he says that then why doubt it.

You might work for a company and think it’s good but you then get an offer of something different at another company which you take a risk on, can’t really understand your thoughts on this as if everyone thought like you they’d never leave any job !

What an absolutely negative attitude, have you never had a job you loved but for whatever reason have moved on? LW's attitude here and his leaving us is nothing like IB and certainly not treacherous Fat Sam. How do you know LW jumped at the first opportunity, and if that first opportunity was head coach at a club he previously worked at and is near his wife and family and home why does that make you feel he didn't really care. Oh I get it, you feel jilted. Never mind, it'll just grind you dowin a bit further and give you a bit more venom to your posts.

To be honest, I doubt he gave 100% towards the end with his mind on Swansea - which likely had some impact on our results.

LW struck me as the type who could not switch off but he would have had to devote a fair bit of his time preparing for the interview and then thinking about the task in hand once he was confident he was in with a good chance of landing the job, which is understandable. I think he was also very interested in the Oxford job, which pretty much coincided with our sudden loss of form. I think the Oxford link came up ahead of the Wrexham game.

I can't say I listened to his pre-match interviews so it's possible I might be wrong about this, but I got the impression he wasn't altogether happy with the business or lack of that Notts did in the summer. There's something to be said for giving a promoted squad the chance to prove themselves, but that wasn't a point that LW seemed to push.
He may well have felt privately that he'd taken us as far as he could with the restrictions placed upon him.

I thought our form dip coincided with Matty Palmers leg conking, starting against Wrexham.
