A quick question for anyone who has seen footage of the Mane and Ederson incident yesterday, do you think it's a sending off and i'm currently watching the Swansea v Newcastle game, there's been a similar incident where Matt Ritchie's foot is high and he's close to catching Mawson. Should Matt Ritchie get a red card for dangerous play?

My thoughts are it's how the ref sees it. If a player only has eyes for the ball, but it can also be classed as dangerous play, then it often gives a ref no option really.

I get what you mean mate.

One gets a red card and the other doesn't even though it's for the same offence.

    The scenario seems familiar.......

But unlike forums, referees cannot show favouritism.

It wasn't a great first half, but the second was a big improvement, it was good to see Jermaine Defoe get the winner.

Swansea's zonal marking lets them down, powerful header from Lascelles to give Newcastle the lead. Tammy Abraham's chance early in the half now could prove to be costly.

A deserved victory for Newcastle, they created a few more chances than Swansea. If today's game is anything to go on then Swansea will struggle this season.

Wolves next opponents Sheffield have just gone a goal up at Hillsborough, a John Fleck low free-kick , low into the bottom corner, one to watch out for on Wednesday evening!

Great start to the season for the blades.

Should be a really tough game against them, especially as it seems there are quite a few fans who are eagerly waiting for us to slip up.
