An unequivocal NO from me and I just hope that common sense prevails.
I don’t like the fact that yes voters are labelled as unthinking dreamers, just like I don’t like to think of no voters as Daily Mail reading doom merchants.
Could it be that a voter has read and listened to a lot from a variety of different sources and came to a different conclusion to yourself?

Obviously there are some Daily Mail reading loons as well as some Braveheart loving tubes. I’d hope they‘re all in the minority though.

Much more scary to me is the thought of remaining in the current political system of the uk.

A political system where two parties have controlled for 100 years. Taking turns and becoming so like each other that the electorate has NO real choice and NO hope of change. I can now understand why so many dont even bother to vote in Westminster elections. I don't trust either to ever deliver and have had enough of all the lies.

This is a chance like no other to end that type of rule. Scotland IS wealthy. We can do it.

As someone who is still fairly undecided on how I will vote I would seriously like to ask what political system an Independent Scotland will adopt that will be so different from Westminster. We will surely still have the possibility of two or three major Parties fighting to gain control at future Elections, the SNP obviously be

Hi Auld Chippy, Thanks for your question.

I would say that Westminster is a two horse race. The Lib Dems were finally making a wee bit of ground after years of trying but won't be getting anywhere close now after tuition fees. And for any other party to try and get into that system is almost impossible. The greens finally got one mp after focussing on one seat for decades. It seems very much a closed shop. People i know voted labour just to get the Tories out not because they were labour supporters. And again people I know voted just to get Labour out. Not for what they really believed in. The big two concentrate on fighting each other to make sure that its between them as it suits them both.

In the Scottish parliament I would say it is more than a two horse race which is already an improvement. In an independent Scotland some SNP votes may move so I think we could see a much more close share of the vote between labour, SNP, Tories, and libs. Also with the AMS additional member syst

Would I be correct in saying that no other country has ever knocked back to opportunity to go independent ?

Let's hope Scotland isn't the first

So far as this Board and the regular posters is concerned it appears that the yes vote is in the ascendancy.

Forgive me if I don't follow the advice rendered earlier to heed the views given by Russell Brand in a YouTube clip that was linked.I listened for a few minutes to that dreadful attempt to mimic the broad Scottish accent-hopefully it will have strengthened the No vote as surely nobody in their right mind would be positively influenced by the content of that clip.
