Think the Dubai trip would all in all be looked upon as a success but it would have been better if us sandpit sheep had got a golf day out of it as well.
Onwards and upwards as they say, and here's hoping that our illustrious leader gets a couple of decent signings in over the next week or so and you just never know what might happen. But I'm nae huddin ma breath.
Back to the donkey and his Dubai goals, for the 1st a real linesman would have had his flag up for ages as the big fellah's run was so badly timed it was quite laughable actually.
    His second was a screamer

You have to give credit to Young Sam, he is doing okay now, admittedly he cost us an absolute fortune of £20k!! he has knuckled down and centre backs genuinely know they have been in a game.

Mrs J is trying to convince me to head across in October, if so, I’ll take my spanner’s.......however, with a wee bit of luck we might still be in Europe and the passport won’t need stamped......or does it with brexit looming?anyway, dependant on AC fixtures I might be at Pittodrie on Saturday.....4-0 Big Sam @ anytime.

Sammy is now a snip at 20k after his exploits over the turn of the year. He won't have cost a penny when he invariably moves on. The CB's knew they had been in a game.

If you do make it across JJ gives a shout and we can arrange to go hitting the little white ba, I have a spare set of sticks if need be min.
HSBC chumpionship this week and I will be doing ma local refereeing malarkey again, so look out for me on the TV, its a decent enjoyable experience, the only downside being that I have to bide sober for it

As for the Stenny game as long as it is not a repeat of the last time we played them in the cup and as long as I have a decent Red TV picture reception then I will be a happy camper.

From the 31st of January right through to 30th November he was looking like a total waste of 19.99k
Can't help but thinking normal service will be resumed soon, but I do hope that our award winning donkey continues to prove me wrong. Like all Aberdeen fans I never want to see any of players fail on the park, and despite my continuous digs at our award winning donkey, I've never once wanted the loon to fail and I hope he continues with his run, but i'm nae convinced and I'm still nae a fan.

Enjoy the golf this week, I’ll hae a gander on the TV accordingly and as per, will have a punt.....not played over there, however, a few mates head across to play in The Dubai Amateur each year, if I do succumb to avoiding Spain and head across I’ll give you a shout.

The Stenny game will be a breeze, however I was at Ochilview at that game.....FFS we started with over half the team being full internationals not to mention full time.....an absolute disgrace of a result.....a very subdued trip back home and a few raised voices in P.O.W. as we dissected our performance.

    Reported from last year

Condition not holding back Graeme Shinnie as love affair with Aberdeen fans blossoms

BEING inside Pittodrie on Thursday night felt like intruding on a moment of intimacy between Graeme Shinnie and 20,000 smitten Aberdeen fans. Draw up a wish-list of what most supporters want to see in a player and the 25-year-old would tick most of the boxes. Local boy? Tick. Boyhood fan? Tick. Courageous? Tick. Combative? Tick? Captain? Tick. Can play a bit? Definite tick.

I'm not too downbeat about Shinnie. I really don't know why a section of fans sang about him being one of our own because it was well known about his childhood allegiances.

However, Union Jack and him won f@ck all us captains therefore Sevco can have the losers if they wish.

Willie Miller's nae a Hun. Or at least, he isn't one now. If Willie went there that would break my heart but Shinnie can go now if he so wishes.

If Shinnie doesn't go there, then I wish him all the best.
