Enjoy reading posts on here sorry for chipping in, don't know if anyone will read this. I've read a lot about Corbyn and his supposed sympathies to the I RA when he in fact was involved in bringing them to the table for the good Friday agreement thus saving more bloodshed including British soldiers, my uncle served there so have some insight. Secondly my dad died from the contaminated blood scandal after nursing him for 18 months, blood products from the USA that the then Thatcher government knew about but covered up and carried on, the public enquiry is going on and I've given evidence, so far 5500 people including kids have died, British citizens.Ken Clarke is still a minister, this was murder, people attack Jeremy Corbyn who strives for peace. I worked for British Coal and lost my job then lost my dad and some say move on forget about it, no chance this is the kind of government thats been voted in by a selfish uncaring society.

Don't get all the hoo hah myself. In this area Labour retained it's seats so in essence the vote didn't make a sh1t of difference. In my constituency Wingfield Labour won. In Barnsley Central, Labour won. In Pontefract Labour won.

The irony is they would have all been lost had Farage not come to rescue with his Brexit candidates. Fact is we're not living in the late 70's or 80's anymore and the public noticed that.

It wasn't all about Brexit. One party wanted to move forward whilst the other was looking at the past. Hence the massive majority.

I reckon Animals "He got brexit done though" comment might just have been a bit tongue in cheek, Frank

Yes I can sleep safely in my bed knowing that Major Dan and Stephanie will provide an indestructible fire wall that protects me from Johnson and his huge majority and a licence to do what the feck he wants .

With all the tories surrounding us it feels like Stalingrad during WW2 .

Wonder how much funding those that held firm will receive ?

Summat tells me Barnsley won't be a priority , just a gut feeling mind .

Totally agree. That's why I wish the Brexit party hadn't stood in my constituency. Now we're lumbered with a Labour council in a Conservative government which is exactly what we didn't want.
