Two answers mate not everyone has credit or debit card or want one. Secondly i might end up going as a last minute punter? Its not very handy with no patg though. Shed being open is only now and again so patg would be one off also. Been to few home games so far this season that hopefully, wont match this one for a spectacle 🤞
Your correct T if i had a credit card i would be up to my eyeballs in debt! Which is very common and dare say complicated.
Here’s a thing about patg , if its not in place? then why cant folk simply not swipe their card at the turnstile like they do at supermarkets etc then charge the extra £2 for admin costs? Also T i was referring to people who would choose to leave say the Ambassador or so on a whim at the last minute. Happened a lot down the years with being so many pubs in the area.
Should definitely be one stand patg for this. Unbelievable really. I realise there's a drive to go all digital but it doesn't make any sense to turn cash away or as B4 says a card swipe patg. Madness. One/two staff on the Shed for what, 3 hours, maybe 4 if it's a minimum staffing period?
There are bars, shops and restaurants these days that don't accept cash. :/
Way forward seemingly. Certainly keeps the thieves and junkies fae nipping in for a quick grab at the till
I get my ticket online now (grudgingly) but it is quite simple , and you get it sent to your phone or PC in an email as a PDF file.
I get mines as a PDF then print it out A4 , then cut off all the irrelevant bits to still leave me with a normal sized paper ticket for the turnstile. Sad I know but it works every time![]()
Yeah I get how it works and I've no problem with it really. Im used to swiping cash and credit cards and boarding cards etc. Was just thinking for a cup game where they're raising revenue from scratch v an attractive side/fixture it might make sense to have one cash turnstile. I suppose the argument against it is if 3000 folk decided not to buy a ticket in advance knowing there will be a cash option it could end up in chaos.
Slower sales for this can certainly not be attributable to no cash patg. The new online system is brilliant and without any argument was the biggest single reason for managing to sell out the Derby in a day. TBH I’m not sure the Club can make it much easier to attend. Having said that, I think £15 a head, given the time of year, being on TV and on a Sunday, a guaranteed big away support and the fact that it’s an early round (not a quarter final for example) would not have been unreasonable. Bit late now though.

True........ Switherers , standing in the boozer , thinking
they will/might attend , then it ends up battering down or sna etc , they aint goin'
I think things are working a lot better these days regarding tickets , but..... a wee cash gate (not ticket booth) would still be a good thing.
They wouldn't accept my mates ******* , cheeky buggerz![]()
ooops ................ can't type Bit*oin![]()
