Okay...of the things we wanted for a ‘big shop’ there was a shortage of...toilet rolls...hand wash...Weetabix...frozen oven chips (!!)...sugar (but that was resolved by going to an adjacent shop where they seemed to have the World’s supply)...pasta and tinned food.

Everything else we needed was there although I did have to go back round again because the sale of wine was restricted to three bottles per person!!

Shortages are, imo, all caused by selfishness, scaremongering and too many people having a lemming like mentality.

Was told on the way round that a local (Uttoxeter) jeweller has stockpiled 50p bottles of hand sanitizer which he is now selling at a £1! Despicable if true!!!
    Who's scaremongering?

It's fact. Talking to an empoyee in Tesco, who was laughing. As fast as they put it out, it goes.

I went for fresh goods- half of what I wanted was out.
They had even run out of ****ing cat litter FFS.
Little bleeder will be having builders sand, like we'll be using the Guardian on our back sides.

I was talking to the check out lady today, one customer had 36 Cartons of UHT milk! When told he was limited to three he became very aggressive and insisted he had them. Eventually, Security was called and he was still aggressive.
She said it's getting regular that a minority are acting like this and that by the end of the shift each day she is mentally and physically shattered!!
I felt so sorry for her, it's just not on. I hope he gets a double dose of this virus! Personally, I would have him shot!! ****ers!!

Absolutely mac...I once passed a motion() to have it banned from the Students’ Union. Totally non-absorbent nonsense! Like sharp grease proof paper!

You are ‘scaremongering’ Tricky...this morning you told me not to bother going shopping because there’d be nothing there.
Yes...there were shortages, more than that in the cases I mentioned, but most things were there...and before you accuse me of being a privileged Fortnum and Mason shopper it was a bog standard Tesco which is our nearest and most accessible supermarket.

I agree mac, shooting is too good for them! BUT: anyone who has to drink even a teaspoon of that disgusting UHT milk is suffering penalty enough.

Give over you bloody drama queen.
Are stores down on essentials y/n

Are stores becoming a pain in the ass y/n

You may live in a less urbanised conurbation. But some of us don't.
If I was a pensioner and needed loo roll/eggs/milk/meats, then I couldn't be guaranteed they would be there, by the time I dragged my ass to the shops.

Scaremongering is a fabrication? For some people, these shortages are fact, so stop telling folks to belt up because you haven't felt it.

I’m a ‘drama queen’? Really? I’ll add that to the list of ignorant bollux you choose to write about me shall I?
Remind me...who said don’t bother there’s nothing there, about the shops...who said there’s no cat litter, boo hoo...and which one of us actually went and got stuff.

I knew you’d bring it down to where I live. So bitter and twisted. ‘Less urbanised conurbation’...you think I shop where I live? I go to a town/aka ‘urbanised conurbation’ to do my shopping!

‘Are stores becoming a pain in the arse y/n’. Absolutely not...staffed by heroes, along with all those in the front line, NHS workers, teachers, cleaners, public transport workers, care workers etc...bloody selfish scaremongering panic buying prats are though.

The only way we’ll get through all this is by pulling together, acting responsibly and not being selfishly divisive. You might want to remember that.

Returning to the question of supermarket staff a lady has posted on Facebook that she made a Tesco home delivery order which on arrival had inevitably a few items missing. The driver apologised but the lady told him no problem at which point he burst into tears explaining that he had had nothing but abuse all day from customers because deliveries were not complete!!
    *******s!!
Hang them upside down in a barrel of **** for a week and then shoot them!!

100% agree. There are signs all over Tesco asking customers not to abuse the staff. I thanked the lady on the checkout and asked her to pass my thanks on to all the staff who were in the ‘frontline’ and doing such a good job. She was genuinely so pleased and virtually in tears too.
There really are some total t***s around!

Well now, how are we supposed to survive on only 3 bottles of wine haha.

My wife works in retail, it's a genuine worry what she has to face, not just verbal abuse, but ill people don't think twice about coughing over the cashier
