    Brin, i lived next door but one from the chippy when we moved from the village in 1959, it was "The Co-op" then. I moved to Parkgate in 1971 from 21 Topfield Lane, Parents moved to Wingfield when the steel strike was on in 1980. What were your GP's surname?

    Looks like Rawmarshians might be in the majority on here but might as well be Martians with respect to being from Rotherham regarding IBS's criteria. Unless we hitched a ride from Sir Lewis to get us to Coopers and back in 5 minutes. Born on West Avenue and moved to Hague Avenue in '63 and spent the next 53 years living or visiting there. Still pop in to Casper's for a cuppa when back.

    Grandparents a mixture of Rotherham, West Yorkshire and Worcestershire
    Was that shop on a corner. In a distant memory in my mind did they call the owner Eric.
