Five things I learned (again) today:
1 Blackman and Vassell should never appear again for us
2 For all his silky passes Barlaser can't and shouldn't take corners; he never manages to raise one above 4 ft from the deck
3 While Harding did nothing wrong Clarke is faster across the turf, better in attack and deserves some starts. And maybe given his crosses to take some corners.
4 While Smiffy did nothing wrong and Crooks was excellent we do not have anything resembling the term Championship striker anywhere in the squad
5 We humbled a pretender to Prem league title today and made them look poor. With one half decent forward and a goalie who hasn't played for every team in the country except the one that owns him, we should march out of relegation with our games in hand. And we have the goalie.

Agree with that but just to put it into context a bit, they only had three or so players who started their recent prem games so it was nowhere near their full strength team

However, we have numerous injuries and still battling the effects of the virus and getting our match sharpness back. The media never mentions that bit though, just that Calvert-Lewin and his mates were rested

Really encouraging performance for the rest of the season.
It's a shame that PW couldn't have kept our star performers on for 130 mins or so but there's many, many reasons to make subs which may have been forced on him

Was a fantastic performance up until we made the baffling substitutions which I couldn't understand. I thought once we put 2 strikers that haven't scored a goal yet this season and took Olosunde off we had all our attacking outlet taken away and was never gonna score afterwards. Vassell and Jones are league 2 standard at best and if we have any ambition these 2 players we should be looking to move on and much as Woody has done for us in the past I hope this is his last season playing wise as well.

Left it late to post but I am very proud Miller tonight. The team gave a good account of themselves against a high flying Prem side. Yes, even their young guns look electric so no shame on our performance.

Credit to Warne he got just about everything right, even showing to other clubs Vassell on the pitch but, don't expect any phone calls for him this month, boy he is so poor. They say don't slate your own but come on, he's pants. Listen lad get back on building sites and get laying some more bricks and stop embarrassing yourself.

Hirst, just a lad playing off his Dad's name. Come on Warney grow some and send him back....I dare yer!

I think the attitude and aptitude we showed today, minus the two I've mentioned, and I truly believe we can beat Derby....bring it on!

Great post Brin. Someone referred to Smith not being a Championship striker. Completely disagree. He fits our play and holds the ball up. While he was on the pitch we had a chance but once he went off and Hurst came on, the game was up. The ball kept coming back and inevitably Everton scored.
We need to push on next week. Keep Clarke in and have Smith & Ladapo up front. I don’t see any benefit in keeping Hurst.
Given our league postponements, it was good to get this out of the way as we already have fixture congestion.
Just a little concerned that this virus isn’t going away soon so still doubt whether the season will be completed, unless the Euros are cancelled which must be more than a possibility.

Forgot to mention, portacabin was our dressing room, good job Warnock wasn’t there

I’m sure Warney has stated none of the three Hirst, Blackman or Jozefzoon are staying.

I’ve had my say on Hirst.
Thought Blackman did ok but still I’m still ****ting a brick every time opposition go near the box.
Jozefzoon is a good player (how many of you already said this before change in tactics?) personally I don’t thing wingback suits him

Yesterdays game has left me with more questions than answers. I think I will leave it at that.

How can we debate that then or even maybe give some answers?
