Having read this, the third goal is definitely my favourite.

I'm loving how we keep the ball in the final third and wait for the right thing to be on.

Nicky where did that come from, would be easy to say that Biamou sitting on the bench inspired him but a top drawer finish after clever passing movement.

A majestic header from Edwards and a really clinical well worked passing move to leave Freeman in dreamland.

But I think we can play better 😄
One thing i have really disliked for years is this ball straight back to the guy who has just delivered the throw in. It was so refreshing to see the 1st and 3rd goals start from a decent throw in to someone on the move or with options, which has the Hibs defence on the ropes.

As for Nicky Clark, i have always thought he could score goals like that, and i think what we saw was him benefiting from the front line getting the service they need.

Can we play better? I think we have already played better this season as i thought PP and Harkes had relatively quiet games, and i hope we get a game soon when everyone is on song!

Good article there. It's easy to forget what players go through when out with injuries.
Especially young lads like Kieran when they wonder if they'll ever make it.

Word of warning for us all, I remember JMac’s young guns wowing everyone as we barrelled all comers doon the Hulltoon for a couple of months, then Scottish football did as Scottish football does…..it started at St Mirren in December, Danny Lennon’s team kicked the **** out of us, (Jim Goodwin was subbied before half-time after scything down GMS, Ryan Dow, before elbowing Armstrong in the puss, Lennon took him off with a cuddle and a good chuckle) We lost that game and had 9 changes the following week, when Tommy Wright’s Saints repeated the medicine and hammered our 2nd string. For the rest of the season, Hamilton, et al kicked our young lads all over the place and that team never recovered their form. I like to think this team are made of sterner stuff, but don’t think for a minute other coaches will sit back and watch youngsters pick them apart like we did on Saturday, they will ‘bring it’ if this keeps up!

Difference is, these aren't 'young lads' in this team. McMann, Edwards, Mulgrew, Fuchs....yeah, good luck kicking lumps out of them. Then we have Clark, Pawlett, Niskanen all experienced guys. I'm sure any young lads in the team will be well looked after if it were to happen.

Yeah a decent observation. And some teams will maybe try that but from what I've seen recently the refereeing in Scottish games while still occasionally bizarre has moved roughly in line with UEFA where players are getting more protection from dirty play.
FWIW I remember that disgraceful performance from Goodwin and St Mirren but doubt they would keep 11 on the park nowadays.

Was it Ray McKinnon that said one of these days we're going to give a team a right doing 😏
I felt so sorry for Ray. Someone once told me never, ever, work for the club you love

Maxime also has a reputation for not taking any **** and for looking out for the younger lads too, and I for one wouldn't fancy a dig off big Max

I hope you’re right, and yes I agree we certainly appear better equipped than the 2014 team.
