I meant the shortening of the word "Pakistani".

I've seen American TV shows where they've the same contraction, they don't have the same history i.e. NF in the 1970s.

What escapes most folks on here as usual is the issue of power relationships. Plainly many need to read a decent book on sociology. GCSE would probably do. If you don't really know about a subject best keep your gob shut or otherwise you make yourself look a right tool.

The usual suspects with the usual *******s...my..my

Sorry but power shifted long ago. Merely an accusation of racism or homophobia or ***ism is enough to convict someone now. the kangaroo court of Twitter opinion.

Or read a sociology book written by a left wing looney University lecturer and become an expert overnight.

Then there's the university of life where real experiences built up over many years tell you what the truth is.

It's about claiming the word to dilute its power. N word the same.

Similar thing in footy; Leeds fans sing about "we all hate Leeds scum". Claiming the phrase weakens the original intention.

All of which doesn't change bigoted attitudes of course. Just winds up the worst examples even more.

Can you give me an example of someone who has been convicted of any of those things based on twitter opinion?

Doesn't twitter opinion work both ways? For every outraged leftie accusing people of unwoke behaviour, you have twitching rightsters providing the counter opinion in defense.

Likewise, the anti-BBC brigade on here and all over the right are completely oblivious to the fact that their outraged equivalents on the far/hard left are similarly accusing the BBC of right wing bias. Possibly the truth is that the BBC are somewhere in the middle?

Experiences with whom? People who have the same views as you? Tell me how can you share the same experiences as
downtrodden black people if you are not a downtrodden black person yourself or at least socialise with such people enough to understand their problems. I suspect that there are very few black people you socialise with in order to form any real opinion about black equality apart from maybe a minority of very privileged ones.

Its not the man in the pub or Daily Mail university of Life is it you are talking about is it Grist? In which case I understand your ignorance...

A person of colour who was interviewed on radio other day said if he had said remarks like the ones been documented in the case...he wouldn’t have been labelled as racist…

So the issue with Pakistani pedophiles didn't happen because it wasn't mentioned in the Jack and Jill do Social Work book.
