That’s not entirely true though.

The 37000 figure is only those in hotels, recent Afghans and asylum seekers we already had before the Afghanistan evacuation

It doesn’t include those we have already housed and are paying benefits to.

The financial burden is huge, and rising by the day. More than 28,000 crossed the channel in 2021 and that’s not the only way refugees and asylum seekers enter the country. Also bearing in mind that’s the number the authorities know about. They don’t know how many get here undetected.

Raging quibbled that I had stated 117 instead of 115. Mygiddy said it was all a Tory plot and we should welcome everyone anyway. In over 20 years on MM no one has ever changed their minds, no one has ever said they were wrong conceptually. Roly thinks he's great guy, raging is pushing an agenda. I don't read any responses because it's pointless. A country is not simply a piece of land. It's a history, a shared culture, an interdependence. Now in my local town we have gangs of young men who know nothing of England, many can't speak the language, many are resentful, disliking white people, abusive to women, and this is the Brave New World of roly, raging and mygiddy and if we protest we are labelled Nazis. My wager here was that you couldn't share the source of your claim, and you have still yet to do so. You are very poor at debating and reasoning and you blindly seem to share stuff without understanding or fact checking it, and I call you out on it and you get in a tizz.

I notice you've gone quiet on the NHS thread. Have you realised how humiliating it was that what you claimed the ONS had said had literally been clarified by the ONS themselves that it was misinformation peddled by gullible sheep?
