If there is any truth in this, then maybe explains why FGR haven't announced a new man yet. You would think that they would have wanted it done & dusted by now for the new man to get settled in prepare for the new season &, suss the squad out, so the longer Notts stay in the POs & FGR don't announce anything the stronger the rumour will get.

Let's just say IB is destined for FGR or any other club.
What available managers would Notts fans be happy to see as a replacement ?
Paul Tisdale used to be sought after but when I went to Exeter when Kewell was our boss, PT was very unpopular.
I have no idea who I would want
Every managerial appointment is a risk.
I thought Paul Cook would be a great signing at Chessie but he hasn't been that well received

Unless their chairman still holds a grudge over Noble and is lumping on to unsettle us, it looks a nailed on deal if we don't go up. I read their local news story about it and it said they are waiting until the target's club's season is over before they ask for permission to speak to him.
Could be one of the other tier 5 play off club's managers but given who is and who isn't on the list of favourites and the way he's sidestepped the question, it has to be Burch

I expect it will be somebody we've never heard of.
Is there any other British coach who's recently worked in Scandinavia?

I thought Cook would do well there as well. But sometimes it just doesn't come off for some reason, like signing players that can be hit or miss.

I'd say that nob does hold a grudge, after seeing his comments after the manager left for Watford.

Looks pretty certain it's IB and if he wasn't interested surely he'd have let them know by now?

Who replaces him...will probably be left field but the objective and strategy of the brothers doesn't change

They might come to their senses about a NL team playing like Pep

I'd rather Notts play the way do than the dross I witnessed from Wrexham today and I very much doubt Parkinson is wanted by Clubs 2 divisions above.

Pete Wild has done a great job at Halifax. I like the way they play, too - aggressive, tenacious, and hard-working. He got them to finish above us with what was surely a smaller playing budget.

But I guess it all boils down to whether they want a Birchnall-style head coach to implement the same style of football. If that's the case, I doubt we'll do any better than IB, and it's anyone's guess who would come in next.
