A team with Notts' resources (and expectations) shouldn't need to be going to a place like Gateshead with such a defensive set-up. Tonight was the obvious moment to play the two former Gateshead strikers together in a familiar environment.

I think with the players we've got you're probably right. We've got two good full backs but not necessarily two good wing backs and Langstaff is crying out for some help up top.

I'm abit underwhelmed so far this season. The defence looked terrible against BW, some of the space BW had was shocking and apparently not going well tonight by all accounts. I thought LW might have sorted them out abit better by now. Granted it's early in the season and I'm not being negative for the sake of it, I'm just going on what I've seen and reports. I think it's probably going to be next season before LW gets them to the place he wants them by the looks of it.

I really don't want to muck about for another season in the hope the manager will be better next season. We tried that with Burch and we're still here.

Hang on. The early part of this thread before a ball was kicked in anger was how attacking the Notts line up was.
I think we need to stop panicking and making changes too quickly. I fully expect changes to happen after about 60 minutes if nothing changes
