Despite what some people's opinions are, Ramadani, Miovski and Duk are superb signings.

Although I am against loans in any form we have also added a couple of really good players to the squad.

So that is a job really well done.

Trailing around English non league football is a waste of time.

Both Stewart and Richardson are a waste of space and although I agree we haven't seen much of him, Morris looks absolutely useless.

Roos seems perfectly acceptable along with Besuijen.

So we don't need as many changes as you would think.

But even so, it's time to be ruthless again, get rid of the dross.

Really annoying though it is, I've sat through a fair few thrashings from Dundee United, fortunately I've also sat through a fair few thrashings of Dundee United.

We want five, when we meet them at Pittodrie.

Edit : We only managed to get Ramadani and Miovski because of Hungarian rules regarding non EU players, enjoy them while they're here.

For our signings, is Goodwin actually chosing players he wants to sign? I thought the set up at the club now was that Goodwin manages the players, coaches and picks the team, but the recruitment is done seperate, meaning he has to work with what he is given.

The only problem I had with the summer signings is that we lacked signings with experience of the Scottish leagues. Now I know the sages on here will tell me that all Scottish players are shyte, but knowing the league and our game does help and does take a bit of time to adapt.

A huge game for us this Sunday, that will be a real marker of progress to date.

Goodwin has the final say on who we sign (and that’s the way it should be).

If Miovski had scored the fvcking sitter and then the decent header chance it would have been a different story. That sitter was as bad as they get. Then the left side of our defence (our strongest side) inexplicably go to sleep whilst doubling up on the Joots, not once but twice.

A dodgy penalty and a stupid own goal later, and we’re $hite ?

It was one of those days, some of the pant pishers on here over reacting as normal. I hope those guys were there on Saturday like I was and could see the fine lines between ecstasy and failure. Don’t get me wrong, I was as pi$$ed off as anyone at Tannadice. But that result doesn’t mean Goodwin should be sacked or Cormack should sell up (to who?).
Agreed that Richardson needs dropped with maybe McRorie going to LB and the jury is definitely out on Stewart.

Holy moly, a degree of common sense. We have some weaknesses but in general it’s a far, far better team to watch than we’ve seen for a while. Our defence is porous, no doubt, so on days when we fail to hit the target and take the lead we’re in trouble. But I’d watch this side over anything I’ve witnessed in the last 4 years or so.

Where I do worry about Goodwin is the acknowledgment that we’re short at the back (no **** Sherlock) but that it was all a strategy. That’s for the birds. We need to strengthen the defence. But if we can then I see no reason why we can’t start to put together a run of results. We’ve got the firepower to worry most teams.

Coulson is for me the biggest conundrum. Great going forward but totally unconvincing as a defender. Richardson is just quick but that’s about it. Scales is really the only defender worth keeping.

Most of those wanting the manager sacked have been wanting him out the door since before he arrived. Winning the Champions League wouldn't change their opinion on him.

I am hoping we make some changes to the team for Sunday though, as there are some weak links in our current line up.
