Wish I had the same optimism with Llorente Ayling and Cooper.

Just waiting for the announcement that we have signed Cooper and Ayling on new 5-year contracts.

    Hmmmn - unbelievable Jeff.

There is apparently logic behind it in that they think the value of CB is about to go up so protecting value in the assets.

That seems to ignore the fact that if you are in the EFL player values go down

Seems like things are stalling and stagnating and the plan has gone awry.

This was the season the stadium was to be expanded and the 49ers bought Radz out.

That still feels like a blip on the horizon.

It’s so obvious where we are weak and/or need to upgrade.

Of the current squad the following seem to me good enough to me or have potential to be (ignoring those out on loan)

    Meslier
    Koch
    Struijk
    Drameh
    Adams
    Aaronson
    Sinisterra
    Gnonto
    Summerville
    Greenwood
    Joffy
    Perkins
    Gyabi
    Joseph
Roca (when played with the right players in the right role)

    Maybes

    Dallas
    Rasmus

Rodrigo shows glimpses of proper ability but then goes for periods where he is ordinary when he should be a leader.

Cooper too slow and too error prone. Ayling has hit his glass ceiling. If Bambi was a racehorse the vet would have shot him by now.

Need to move the old guard on and invest in 3 or 4 top quality players including the obvious gaps up front and at LB. Add in another quality midfielder and a quick CB and suddenly we should look more solid.

If and get Marsh out of there - we were lucky not to lose by 3 or 4 more v City and looked hopeless at times with the ball - especially first half. Hal’s and should have had at least 4 and Grealish 2.

That was us trying to be defensive 👀

Radz has been good for us but if he wants to get us to the next level he needs to sell up as he can’t compete financially and we don’t even seem to be able to develop the ground.
