The first time I heard a chippy getting called a chipper was on this site. I used to enjoy a fish supper at Mike’s chippy in Torry on my way back down the road years ago.
Here is a question for you lot….is it a chippy if it’s in the city but a chipper if it’s out in the wilds of the Aberdeenshire countryside? It would explain a lot.
