If you think being 'old' is better than being 'young' (other than a slight level of Supercilious GRUY understanding of log tables and manual gearboxes) you are in for some disappointment.

Growing old is fu cking great.
Saw my best buddy (four days my senior) buried at 43, saw a mainstay of the Inverness Reds, with whom I'd stood alongside following the Dandies for the best part of quarter of a century, buried at 49, seen far too many taken far to young.
Growing old beats the alternative.

I saw a stat that said the highest percentage of homo***uality within jobs was amongst opticians.

It was in the Daily Express so it must be true.

It also claimed a cabal of optometrists murdered Princess Di and were responsible for house prices falling.

I chose to believe that's true.

I'm not, and never was, an optician.
I'm sure I have explained this about 5000 times.

However, it it meant I got a go at murdering Princess Di, then I might have tried to join their happy band.

If your post is not to your liking, copy the body of the text then go to make an amendment. When it disappears, paste your old text on a new post and make the corrections before posting as a new one.

You are patently someone who believes free market economics is the optimum model.
My sort don't.
Therefore there's little scope for engagement.
Our experiences of the human condition obviously differs substantially.
