He didn’t even turn up for the reading of the results which in my eyes is unsportsmanlike but then again that’s not the worst thing about him

Whatever your views, and they’re welcome here, we now have a Labour Government. We need to give them a few months to see what their intentions are and what they’re able to achieve. From what I’ve seen already this morning though, expect much sniping and bile from the sidelines. In the lead-up to today it was apparent that the loudest noises were coming from those with either the most to lose or with the lowest chances of success. Some campaigns were extremely personal, but unfortunately that was to be expected and you need broad shoulders to stand for Parliament, more so if you seek higher office. That should end now.

I’m personally content that we now have a PM - and his wife - who know what it takes to hold down a job and become successful that way. I wish them all success. Time will tell.

Of course you wish them well, I just don’t agree with many of Labours policies.

I think this was an election that the conservatives lost rathe than Labour won.

    Labour 412
    Conservative 121

If Labour didn't win it, no doubt the number of seats they now have will be of some small consolation.

You know what I mean, a lot of people’s main reason for voting Labour was to get the Conservatives out.

And last time, a lot of peoples’ main reason to vote Tory was to get brexit done. Unfortunately they blew it.

..and similarly a lot of people's main reason for voting Lib Dem and Reform was to get the Conservatives out.

Let's face it after 14 years of lies and corruption the present incarnation of the Tories were fairly universally hated.

I still don’t understand why anyone would vote for them, but I’m the same with Labour.

There was a woman with a big feathery hat on who I saw this morning in a line up who I originally thought was a female candidate for the Monster Raviing Loony party but I’ve just seen her reading out the results of the Welwyn/Hatfield vote, who’s she then,if she’s not a mayoress in that get up then fair play to her for having a laugh
