You can only "tie them down" if they agree to it and I'm sure that we've tried, it's the players' decision, not ours.

I believe there were some talks in the winter which didn't progress
It's very well known in the game that Notts don't offer silly money

It was fantastic business to sign both but even if we go up if either of these chaps are playing for Notts next year would be surprised. Both could play in the Championship in their careers.
