If it's Teamtalk, the chances of it being shite are 99.99%

Yes he's an Eddie type player but it's TEAMtalk as primary source and after Geuhi debacle, I think we'll tread carefully around deals with Palace.
Clearly Wharton is a target. Will NUFC sign him ahead of the Filth, Bindippers etc ?

Highly unlikely, less than 5% chance. The Above scum will as usual offer double the salary and Wharton will be a red cartel player next season.

Just as it stands with no other transfers on going, it was a chance to have a conversation.

Anderson would preferred choice for obvious reasons. Get the lad back in B&W stripes.

Newcastle preparing offer to sign Brahim Diaz

According to reports in Spain, Newcastle are now preparing an offer to sign Diaz worth around €60m (?52m). The Magpies are in pole position and the attacker's future could be decided in the closing stages of the January transfer window.

    26yrs old. Really quality player.

He's been a target since summer before last. Rumours resurfaced over the last summer under all the hell fire of media noise around the scumbag No.14.

He comes in with lots of UCL experience, big club experience. Versatile player, technical and great with the ball.

With Murphy aging out and Elanga the replacement for Miggy another RWF is required.

Decent fitness record and played a lot of games.

The club as a profile of sticking to targets.

At AC Milan he's played with with Sandro & Thiaw

    On the converse side:

    He's a lot of money 52m quid and he's 26.

I guess a peak age player but not the usual profile. No resale value but buying ready made.

    Seems a bit odd.

That would be a solid signing but not sure it fits what we've been told.

However, he def made sounds about wanting out last window, maybe with another new coach he's decided he'd like to move on.

ALthough, I would suspect we're being used as a sound board to flush out others.

    Could well be mate.

With him being a bit of a nowhere man through his career until now, perhaps he's looking for a club to join where he can just establish himself for the prime years of his career. AC Milan on loan that didn't turn out to be a permanent move. Clearly he's just a bit part player at Real Madrid, good enough for some but ambition is crucial for professional players and no doubt the challenge of coming back to the Premier League an making a statement is high on the agenda.

Without doubt he'll have been in contact with Mallick and Sandro, who have spoken in glowing terms of Eddie Howe & the Newcastle's ambitious future. He could come in and be to NUFC's what Elano was to City during their rise to prominence.

    I'd take him for sure.

Barhim Diaz offers that more technical skillful player who can find the killer passes and unlock defences who have parked the bus. The need to break down teams that come to shut up shop is the Achilles heel for Eddie's NUFC.

The ideal alternative to the powerful, explosive, rapid and direct Elanga.

Also he's often found dropping into the No.10/SS role which will support Woltemade no end.

Linked to a Barcelona junior. Guille Fernandez.

This season has been a frustrating one for the 17-year-old. Guille is said to have been frustrated with his situation in Catalonia, and this has attracted transfer interest.

Talks have already taken place between Newcastle and Barcelona, who faced off in the Champions League earlier in the season. The English club are planning to add Guille to their list of exciting young players, which includes ex-Malaga star Antonio Cordero, who is currently on loan at Segunda side Cadiz.

Looks like Ross Wilson is working on many levels.

I don't know much about this kid, if anything at all. However, anyone who comes through La Masian is a certain level of quality.

Many players are frustrated by the lack of progression to the first team, obviously, it's Barcelona. These are the kind of top quality academy products NUFC should be hoovering up from all over Europe.

Brahim D?az 2025/26 - Magic Dribbling Skills, Goals & Assists

This guy is quality with both feet off both sides and also decent in the No.10/ss role, drifting in off the flank.

Agree on the Barca front - even if their not going to make it.

You can usually sell back to a Spainish club for a profit if they've come through and then had "prem" experience.

It's the unfortunate state of the game where teenage boys are basically commodities, products, bargaining chips.

Sad reality but as a business NUFC have to get more savvy in the market.

This reflects on a bigger point made against Howe regarding transfer spend.

The value of the squad pre-take over was Championship level.

Maxi went for mid 20s, Kelly a shocking 20m sale, Miggy mid *****.

When they trot out the 'He's spunked 250 MILLION quid and look at the results' (whilst completely ignoring the summer transfer drama that derailed the entire play and structure of the club) will the 5 permanent signing have all raised the quality of the squad. The top line of the first team has been diminished due to departure to Land-o-Rats.

It's disingenuous to say that the club has gone backwards. Laughable in fact.
