Trump has just confirmed 25% tariffs on goods from Mexico and Canada, an extra 10% on those from China (meaning now 20% in total) and has also announced a 25% tariff on all aluminium and steel imports from 12th March. US stock markets have sunk accordingly.

Doesn't this break the Trade Agreement with Canada and Mexico that Trump negotiated in his first term?

It seems Trump's respect for rules, order and agreements is limited to when it suits his purpose.

It's truly staggering that this ignorant and dangerous man baby is the leader of the most powerful country in the world. If you listen to his speeches, he just rambles incoherently, digressing and repeating himself. I find him to be a genuine threat to democracy and freedom, along with his billionaire cronies.

"President Donald Trump said he is moving forward with"

Is not "confirms" to me at all. For Trump to confirm something the tariffs need to actually be applied. Whatever the guy says in a press conference? So much noise. Could be true, could be a lie, could be true in the moment and not true tomorrow etc

Poor Zelensky is the poor punchball. Everything he now says or does will be twisted to make him look bad. He's on the ground and Trump, Vance and Musk are happy to put the boot in. Putin meanwhile gets off scot free. I mean, it's not his fault that his tanks ended up carrying their exercise into Ukraine.

Trump and his cronies know the cost of everything and the value of nothing.

This isn't a question of Europe stepping up, it is all who consider themselves a part of the free world and they may well need to consider collective sanctions against the USA, at least until Trump has gone.

Not felt this concerned since Cuba
Share those thoughts and concerns I must admit. Scary times.

Now they've 'paused' all military aid to Ukraine, even that which is already in transit.

What on Earth has become of the USA? Disturbing at best.

me and mine are going to be severely impacted by Trump cr@pping of USMCA, if that's where his caprice ends. How will my kids ever buy their own house in this environment? It might be easy to theorize in Queensland, NZ, Jackal and Andy's world, but for everyone directly affected by the cheeto new world order it's pretty sh!tty sad times indeed.

anyway, I'm Nottscrolling instead of doomscrolling this year... 7 points from the next 3 games will see us right.

Puts all claims that Trump is even interested in Ukraine's wellbeing to the sword. What could he possibly do to help Putin that he isn't doing now?

OK well that's actually a very simplistic answer, and judging by your recent posts, like for example:

    - Trump being no less left wing than Biden (despite mass layoffs, 800 billion of cuts to healthcare, huge tax cuts for the rich)

    - Zelensky being a warmonger (for invading zero countries) and a grifter (referring to what I'm not sure)

    - Ukraine defending itself from Russia being a pointless war

    You're clearly buying something,
