Another buzzard on a plate
Wow! 2s coming thick and fast today! Congratulations, Kerr, Howdy and Pup.
My 3 seems a tad ordinary but I’m pleased with it after yesterday’s debacle…

Looks like I needed a very, very big bird but unfortunately could only deliver a small one.

Hole 18. The pendulum makes it's final swing and thanks to a couple of buzzards on the last hole The 19th Holers pull out a 1 up win. Just goes to show that the adage of '2 up with 5 to play never wins' is b.ollocks although having gone from 2 up with 5 to play to 1 down with 2 to play it wasn't looking good for them there for a while. One interesting stat, over the span of 18 holes, we only halved one of them.
The Hookers - Howdydoo (5), BramleyMiller58 (-1), CAMiller (2), Ronners (0) = 6
The 19th Holers - Ragingpup (5) , Edinburghmiller (-1), CTMilller (2), KerrAvon (5) = 11
Well done the 2s
Well done the team!! Delighted!!
Bad luck The Hookers. It was a close one
Thanks CAM for organising and sorting out all the scoring
I know we used the modified Stableford scoring which at times seemed a little quirky but having kept a record of the actual scores, The 19th Holers would have still won using normal stroke play scoring, 250 (38 under par) to 256 (32 under par) for an overall scoring average of 3.51.
Competition does indeed seem to focus the mind as 3 players (myself, Howdy and raging) were 12 under par for the 18 holes but were bettered by the one an only 3L Miller (CTMilller) who was 13 under par. In total we recorded 21 big birds.
Thoroughly enjoyed that competition, CAM, and all thanks to you again for devising and running it. It really was a close tournament.
A tip of the hat to Kerr and Raging for their performances today which gave us 19th Holers the victory!
Thanks for organising CAM, even if we did lose, and congrats to the 19th holers you f*#*#*g jammy set of f#*#*#g jammy jammy b#*##*#s😡......phew that feels better now 😠 UTM
