    Just watched his interview.

Mellon wanted to go in a different direction - never explained what direction that was.

What direction we are now heading.

I just hope it is not a direction down!
Pure speculation on my part, but i think MM wanted to create a team with the right balance of experience and youth with the objective of success with profit, you know, the right way. I believe the way forward is to make a profit, and nothing else will get in the way!

Wish you could say who you talk of as i have 2 names in mind, one who i personally think is good enough for the top flight and just had his contract extended, and the other who shows up in flashes what he is capable of, but not often enough!

    The questions I have ....

    TA is the Sporting Director
Not sure if that is a full board seat and board vote? Anyone know?

So TA recommended Tam Courts to Ogren, that we can be pretty sure of.

If Mark Ogren and Scott Ogren voted (with TA) to appoint Courts that would potentially carry 3 against the 2 votes of Jimmy Fyffe and David Dorward, assuming of course they were against it. Maybe they weren't?

If Derek Bond and Laura McCallum voted in favour to keep their jobs the vote would have been 5-2.

So do we now have a Sporting Director who is de facto running the club in totality because he has the 100% support of the owners? A guy who sold the vision to the owners and got a great job out of it. If that's the case it's putting a hell of a lot of faith in a guy who's never been a Sporting Director before.

And just how hands on is Scott Ogren?

And does it leave us with 2 Directors unhappy with the direction we've taken?

Too many questions maybe. I'm happy to support the appointment, what else can you do, but the way things are being done makes you wonder. If it goes tits up Tony walks away and we're left standing in the carnage.

    No room for error here.

There were directors against the head coach appointment and his NO2 mate there were head coaches against contracts and the promotion of coaches but its all immaterial now.
As Affshore says we are phucked, it could turn out that both me and him are totally wrong but we maybe know more about The Big Man and the culture at Tannadice which for obvious reason's cannot be posted on here.
What i will say is this,if The Big Man reads this board and wants a meeting with me and Affshore he is going in the office first.

What I don’t get is last summer when linked with Malky we had a small fraction of the support who were unhappy which in turn kicked back on forums, social media and of course emails to the club threatening with non renewal of ST’s so ultimately he wasn’t hired.

Fast forward to this summer when linked with Tam, sorry Thomas now, and we have a rather large fraction who are extremely unhappy and have kicked back hugely on forums and all platforms of social media and contacting the club, albeit this is AFTER the season tickets have been purchased yet still hired and all concerns just basically ignored.

How is that? How does that work?

Reading various places last night there’s direct debits being stopped for ST’s, Arab zone, foundation etc people genuinely think we’re totally ****ed and we’ve no even kicked a bah yet, that’s never happened before, I’ve never seen anything like this in a pre-season

    #unitedtogether 🖕🏼

One thing, United shouldn't be doing anything just because 'social media' makes its feelings known. It's a load of ****e and toxic, full of pish that wouldn't be aired publicly any other way.
