Says a lot about how badly the club has been run for two decades. Let's allow these current temp custodians gamble 100+ years of history on an out of town meccano kit.

Moaning about sitting in a gridlocked car park while on a bus? Yes. Then there's the Aberdeen roads to tackle which will be stappit with Aberdeen drivers...

Year 2 attendances will be interesting.

@Fatshaft - isn't Arnhall directly across the road from what will be the away end? Could be problematic.

Aye the new bit, which is what I said. Apparently that translates into a mile and a half

I'd imagine identical to every other club in the country, the breakdown of season ticket holders will add up to 100%, as it does there

park & ride - ok, 20 minutes. So about the same as if you're getting a bus from the west and being dropped at St Nicholas' kirk for Pittodrie now, and walking from there. Whoopedee doo
Suggest you crack open Google Earth and use the measuring tool, I think your 1/4 mile counter is broken!

I do know where Arnhall is, I've been working there for 15 years.

More like half an hour to walk 1.6 miles to P&R - especially if the pavements are crowded (they will be) and they also function act as a bike lane (as it currently does).

Whatever the merits are, it does arguments no favours when exaggerations are made. e.g. one from the past often said is "it's 5 minutes from Airbles station to the away end at Motherwell"... maybe if you're Mo Farah!

No, I said it was 1.6 miles to the Kingswells P&R, which is is.

New stadium to any car parks at Arnhall is about a mile walking distance.

Sorry, as far as I'm aware, the 600 spaces they've arranged to use are the ones directly beside the Garlogie junction lights.

You're also managing to go to the furthest extreme of Arnhall there to make your point. As you say, does an argument no favours to exagerate.

Also and finally, this is the sort of lengths walked by most drivers now, I'm not really seeing your point in all this?

I'd be more worried about a decent footpath to, and from the parking. Nae very user friendly if you are hobbling over grass verges and taking a chance with traffic charging across roundabouts ?

( speaking from a position of total ignorance here, as I haven't read the planning report etc !!)

I see this development being similar in a location point of view as St Johnstone. Stuck out on a ring road. Unwalkable from the railway station. Big crush/. Delays on the buses, and very little hospitality near the ground. ( of course , it is impossible for the solo adventurer to have a drink and then drive , so bus , train, walked is only way. Sobriety would be the biggest hurdle !!!)

Sure I'll get used to it. Have to. But I just don't get why the Council could not just have let us build New Pittodire right next to the original , on the links. surely a few golfers being inconvenienced wouldn't have been too much bother ?!!
