Would be very very surprised if we sell in this window. In the summer, maybe, and depending on what the player wants to do. Who knows, he might fancy a season in the Prem before a big move. I'll check in on the Dees boards to find out.

Yip, third time they've had him watched as far as I know. If he plays well I can see a bid coming in.

There will defo be a few bids coming in before the window closes, depending which clubs sell a striker or which of the old firm decide they'll just have him.

The bigger picture tho is all about Shankland's attitude / frame of mind / outlook, on what might happen.

It totally surprised me that he signed for us , but the things he said (and still is saying) seem quite level headed.

I'd luv to think he knows you can't be an instant success and has decided to take his time, win this league with us, get his medal. Hopefully play one season in the SPL , score for fun then get an even better move than he would today.

He will be involved again with Scotland soon, and that can only raise his profile even more.

Agents and clauses in contracts (as we all know) ruin everything! Not sure what his will be , but there will be something.

As United have said numerous times, going up will by far eclipse any offer for him financially , and I really hope they stick to that .

Thing that worries me is, we're pretty much up, and Robbie is in today's press talking about Shankland moving on. How it has to be the right club. One that's operating at the right end of the table to give him chances. He's never talked this way before. It's always been 'we' re not selling in this window" with him.
Hopefully not. I'd love to see him in the Premiership with us, proving his worth.

“We don’t want to lose him but if he does leave then it has to be the right team for Lawrence.

He isn’t going to go to a team who are battling at the wrong end of the league where there are very few chances created. He has to go somewhere where teams create chances for him like we are doing here.

We haven’t had anything put into the club but we will wait and see.

I don’t think the January window has really kicked off for anybody yet. When it does then things will trickle down."

Cheers. Think the writer has a bit of previous for non stories IIRC and I'm not even sure that's a recent quote ie in the last 72 hours. But if it is it could be a softening up for us to expect the worst. Hopefully not.

Edit, just checked the Courier and that quote is in there so it looks like either the Record was at that press conference or more likely lifted the quote straight off their website.

At this moment in time, we don't need the money. Tell all the hovering vultures to get tae

Win the league , give him his medal. sit down close season , discuss options, and if he wants to go without gracing the superdooper SPL let him go with Arabest . No problems there.

Please , no going back on numerous statements from the club saying he's not getting sold.

"NOT tonight Josephine" should be suffice
