incredible these people are in our 'support'
F*ck me. The guy was awesome. If anyone has any doubts over him then surely its down to the fact our bellend of a manager played him as a lone striker, a no.10, a left midfielder, a right midfielder and a right back. He knocked his pan in every game, came deep for the ball, bullied defenders, won almost everything in the air, was great defensively at set pieces and still managed to chip in with a double figure goal tally. Give him a strike partner like Shanks, play 2 up front and we'd have a seriously good front line.

    Happy to have Safranko back

Maybe the point is that he made Fraser Aird look good - he had record number of assists for while

My concern is that this will be replace rather than to play alongside shanks

    We’ll see

Would definitely add to the squad. Pav, Shankland and Clark would be a good attacking group to pick from. Looked at our best attacking form when we played 2 up front and any 2 of the 3 would make a good partnership to me.

Not convinced it would spell the departure of Shankland, but do wonder about Appere. Still pretty raw and in my view not ready yet, but hope that he can develop loaned out perhaps?

I can see why you're saying that. Judged on 4231and having to feed off poor scraps but think he would be a better player played in a 2 beside Shankland.

No that mate, I just didn't think he was up to much before with us. No pace, poor 1st, not that great in the air and his link up play wasn't up to much but he did score some fantastic goals and his workrate was excellent.

Is he no getting a gemme in the Hungarian league? Has Shabba binned him?

Personally, I thought his link up play was good. You are right about his work rate. He was our PotY the year we had him for a good reason. He was better quality than everyone else in the squad.

If we did get him, he would be coming into a better squad - and with a better manager than before. He's definately PL standard and I think he's one of the type of players we need in that final third.

I would love it to happen. A good player that genuinely likes the club and fans too.

If you look back to pages 39\40 of this fine thread when the Safranko rumours 1st appeared I'd said the exact same then and that's not changed.

If he signs then I'll back him........but I still feel we can do better.
