Our vaccine roll out has been so successful due to the NHS processes that have been in place for years.
European Jealousy perhaps, but not politically or Brexit related if you ask me
Then why stop our vaccines from Belgium 250K going to Africa after all they didn’t want them?

You think zombie loonies will go for testing?! Don't think so mate. Most of the idiots dancing about in George Square were young so will probably be asymptomatic. The issue is when these people go and visit granny and grandpa a week later. The real numbers from the hun party will show up in a couple of weeks.

They have at least been answering their phones to Track and Trace according to the CMO chappie on Monday who mentioned that some were admitting to have been at the epicentre and associated parties.

That is completely political unfortunately. Reflects to some degree the lack of strategic monitoring availability in the countries in Africa. In effect becomes one voice against another and without a working safety/monitoring structure in place for the African nations it is an impossible challenge for WHO and every other regulatory body to police.

Right to think it ridiculous, beauricratic and fundamentally wrong to not use stock but sadly that is unlikely to change anytime soon

Watching Peston tonight, something i try to avoid normally, but he quoted AZN who say the UK.GOV stance on restricting new appointments next month has nothing to do with supply. Be interesting to see what Nic has to say about it, and what Ruth has up her sleeve to deflect the issue! I may have picked up that, while UK.GOV is claiming big numbers of vaccines delivered(or is it offered?), it appears that uptake may be lagging way behind in the percentages up here!

Today in Scotland has seen vaccine dose 1 No 2mil administered today. Tomorrow should see vaccine Dose 2 no 200k administered as well, so fantastic effort from all.

    Vaccination progress by age group.
    Over 80s, 97.5%
    75-79, 99.6%
    70-74, 100%
    65-69, 97.3% (97.2)
    60-64, 66.5% (59.2)
    55-59, 42.5% (41.5)
    50-54, 34.3% (33.7)
    40-49, 25.8% (25.4)
    30-39, 18.4% (18.2)
    16-29, 11.5% (11.3)

I'm probably being thick here and maybe it's been explained before but what does 100% mean? There's no way that all 70-74 year olds in Scotland have been vaccinated so what does this figure actually signify?

Your gonna have to get in touch with the NHS, but to me 100% can only mean that 100% of 70-74 year olds have been vaccinated. This is only dose 1 info i bring to you, but once i see sufficient progress in Dose 2 reporting, i will start showing that as well. For example, 80+ is now at 9.1% dose 2 and rising quite slow because the bulk of care homes are being dealt with. Because 70-74 are in that no mans land of not working and less likely to be in care homes, they are only 1.2% dose 2 vaccinated, where age groups between 16-64 are showing higher percentages because they are of working age.

Is that the 2 sisters plant again?

It does though highlight why i think all those in public facing and high density workplaces should be vaccinated as the next priority. The possible transmission field for this kind of outbreak is quite worrying for me!

Sorry to quote this for a second time, but looking at the daily new infections for Tayside and the Local Authority areas within, Angus is at 3, P & K is 22, and why this outbreak concerns me, 33 are in Dundee!
