Isn't this symptomatic of why the last eight years have been wasted by Sturgeon in that those in favour of independence has resolutely failed to increase above 50%? I'm not advocating in favour of the real extremists but the attitude you express that is very common amongst the SNP that only their view counts and any other view on any subject that differs from theirs is somehow anti-Scottish and can't possibly have any merit.
For the sake of the independence movement and frankly the country I hope the next leader is more willing to listen to differing viewpoints and actually take them on board rather than act as a single party dictatorship otherwise we will all be stuck in this endless groundhog day split 50/50 that doesn't focus on improving the state of the country whether it be health, education, poverty, the economy etc etc
I’m not in the SNP & disagree with almost everything regarding how they’re going about independence. I would’ve taken a different, possibly more dangerous but definitely more effective route.
As it stood though, NS was the only person capable of doing it the other way. The rest of her party is pretty sh1t & she knows it. I think she was a fairly steady, competent & genuinely cared about her role. When I was blowing smoke up her @rse on here, it was to point out the attacks on her were usually baseless & almost always misogynistic. The ferries, the lesbian affairs, GRA were all bullsh1t, She had the full weight of the British state media attacking her directly, over her party & took it pretty well. If nothing else, I applaud her for getting on the tits of all the right people. The very worst of those, being the Alba goon platoon
All in all this is a non-sensical response and it confirms what I've known all along your daft as a brush reality is an alien concept to you. However I do agree with your last sentence Trans people are being used as a political football and it was Stugreon who kicked the game off.
What's your take on the 8 wasted years ? Mandate after Mandate the carrot and the stick when election time comes around, Sturgeon was handed a fantastic platform to further the Independence cause.. support for Indy up from 23% to 45% SNP membership at an all time high 130,000 members at one point and most importantly a huge momentum towards the cause ..frittered away we now have a chance to reset the whole campaign has any of your fellow SNP minions got the bottle, Time to be brave. .are you brave Mason ?
I vote SNP, but don't do political party memberships and never will. Like Mason I found Sturgeon to have been competent enough during her time as FM and as I have said on here before most of the attacks about her have been in the main down to her being female and in the SNP. Lots of blokes really don't like equality for females and certainly not confident ones who can stand up for themselves. You know this by the amount of shyte about her ***uality, her hair and also the Krankie stuff, purile doesn't even cover it and that isn't aimed at this forum, just generally speaking.
I am brave enough for independence, but it ain't coming anytime soon, never was despite what the polls said, we blew it in 2014.
Realistically it will be about 2040, before we have the electorate who will lead us over the line comfortably and then the real hard work begins.
