It could never happen in Nottingham, you can't have industrial accidents if you have no industry.
I see that Rolls Royce have been found guilty and are awaiting sentence for allowing their workers to be contaminated with radioactivity at their Marine Division. Perhaps the sheep will now believe that low level radioactive waste was dumped at Pride Park before it became a football stadium and swans are tested on the Derwent for radioactivity.

Yes,we're a green city entering the Post Industrial Age.It's pity that Derby with it's dark satanic mills mentality is so near to us. I just wonder if you're the reason why the European Commission is putting pressure on Britain to cut air pollution levels.
No, as the biggest exporter city in the UK we are the reason you can live in the dole in Shottingham.
Yeah, nuclear reactors for submarines, top of everyone's shopping list . We've got Raleigh bikes and of course iodine from Boots, a much needed product in the Nuclear Age to combat radiation sickness. Actually Nottingham is quite prosperous at the moment, it's where the rich bosses of Derby live and spend their money far away from the mess they create. We've also got trams which Derby built, you haven't. Hardly equitable, but there it is.

Ratty once said, that all companies should have to stand on it's own 2 feet. It was his way of explaining pit closures( Nottingham strong hold). RR aero engines, went into receivership in 1971. Heath's Tory government nationalised it with taxpayers money to save it.
It was privatised again by Thatcher when the taxpayers had rebuilt it.
I'll let you work out the Tory interests in this company.

But still the UK's biggest exporter, Toyota the worlds biggest car manufacturer and Bombardier still the UK's only train manufacturer. Add to that Nestle producing most of Europe's coffee (the worlds second most valuable commodity). Plus w
Actually Footymad realise that there is more to a messageboard which is why you have The Donington Lounge and we have Any Other Business. It's the icing on the cake. In fact the Derby board is bland and boring at the moment and could do with spicing up a bit, but that wont happen whilst there's moaning minnies like you about, which begs the question what has stalking Basie got to do with football.Originally Posted by southernram22
