Unless we put him on ‘gardening leave’ which would be pretty risky thing to do given the continued Covid issues, I don’t think we had a choice.

As I understand it when Livermore signed the original contact for 4 years there was a clause inserted where he could extend his contract for another 12 months, providing him met a certain number of first team appearances.

Makes you wonder if big Sam was aware of this and decided that he didn’t want to allow Livermore to be in a position to extend under his watch.

There are far worse players than Jake Livermore on our books; doesn’t that fill your hearts with joy? He, at least, give 100% which is more than can be said of another!

I think most people would give 200% for 20/30 grand a week Ketts. Livermore is too slow - can't pass - can't tackle so apart from giving 100% - what else does Val's Pet offer?

Who is running this lunatic asylum? No release clause for donkey Hugill - another 12 months for Livermore - Zohore one of the highest paid - Johnstone going for nothing!

Our owners could not even run a Chinese takeaway - for f uck sake!

I completely agree with that; has the club ever been run by a more clueless bunch?
