Paul Davis has written a great tribute and I would echo every sentiment. It's rare to find a manager with intelligence (emotional and intellectual) and wit at our level.

You just don't get it, do you? Allow me to explain.
Warney probably thinks that Derby FC is in a false position. He will believe that he can, at least, get them promoted to the Chumpship.
The job gives him experience of working in an environment which is more akin to that of Norwich. If he can make a success of Derby it will put him in a better position when Norwich becomes available in a few years.
He's taking a gamble with the long-term view of achieving his childhood ambition.
Stop being spiteful and pathetic and wish him well. He deserves it.
