Give us panoramas as this....the summit of the Croix de fer where I am with one of sons cycling for a few days in the alps;jb
Donny..yesterday it was Alpe d’Huez. Tomorrow will be the tour of Lac Serre Ponçon (look it up on google earth if you can) It’s roughly 85k with around 1500 metres of climbing. On Saturday my son will ride (not me!!! I will be in the back up car.) around 135k climbing the Col de Vars 2000+ metres then continue with the most beautiful of them all the fabulous Col d’Izoard 2300 metres. Sunday.....a day off!
Yes mate, fortunately both of my boys are cycling nuts but only one could come on this trip. Both used to compete in regional road racing when they were younger but now both have families and just can’t afford the time to train to be able to ride competitively. But true it’s a fantastic feeling being able cycle with them on Sunday mornings and during trips like this.....even if I suffer like hell during the climbs!
